Most "testosterone advice" online is garbage. Random supplements. Cold plunge bro-science. $500 protocols. The truth? Your T levels come down to 5 things: → Sleep (7-9 hrs, non-negotiable) → Resistance training (compound lifts > everything) → Nutrition (micronutrients most guys miss) → Stress management (cortisol kills T) → Avoiding endocrine disruptors (they're everywhere) No magic pills. No pseudoscience. Just what the research actually says. That's what this account is about. Follow along if you want to optimize naturally.

Excessive body hair is a sign of unhealthy metabolism, and it also being associated with male pattern baldness. You have all the hair on your body, back and even shoulders but the top of your head is struggling, this is due to 3-5 things: -High Prolactin due to a decrease in energy/thyroid hormone T3 levels -High Estrogen & Cortisol - estrogen stimulates the adrenal glands, independently of the pituitary's ACTH. This can increase the production of adrenal androgens, leading to hirsutism (excess unwanted body hair). -Drop in progesterone and DHEA levels (The Youth Hormones) - progesterone is also needed to balance estrogen -Decrease of serum calcium levels (usually due to loss of Vitamin D - i.e you will have low vitamin D levels on a blood test "My scalp hair is disappearing, while my body hairs are thicker than ever – it’s not right, and it’s not fair!" Hair is an extension of the nervous system so excess body hair and loss of scalp hair signals deep nervous system and brain metabolism issues (deep depression, anxiety, elevated stress hormones) etc: -Focus on correcting Vitamin D levels and correcting brain bloodflow/venous drainage -Focus on increasing DHEA,progesterone levels via supplementation -Balance prolactin & estrogen Who knows, as your body hair levels decrease, the hair on your scalp might start to magically re-grow aswell?

Microplastics are now in your blood, your lungs, your brain, and your testicles!!! a 2024 study found microplastics in every single human testicle sample tested. the concentration was 3x higher than in animal samples another study from the same year found them in 100% of arterial plaque samples. people with plastics in their arteries had a 4.5x higher risk of heart attack, stroke, or death over 3 years where they come from: plastic water bottles (heat makes it worse) food packaging and containers synthetic clothing fibers released in every wash tea bags, to-go coffee lids, canned food linings dust in your home what you can actually do: stop drinking from plastic. glass or stainless steel never microwave food in plastic filter your water (reverse osmosis removes most of it) swap synthetic clothes for cotton, wool, linen where you can vacuum and dust more often, your home air is full of it avoid canned food with BPA linings the uncomfortable part is that even if you do all of this, they're already in your body and we don't yet know how to get them out. but reducing ongoing exposure is the only move that makes sense right now

@bryan_johnson would be really interesting to see the blood panel changes after removal. especially PFAS half-life in the body is measured in years, not weeks. the before/after might take longer than people expect to show real improvement

Boron is one of the most slept on supplements for men it raises free testosterone by lowering SHBG, the protein that binds your T and makes it unavailable. one study showed free T increased by 28% in just 7 days at 10mg/day it also lowers estrogen, reduces inflammation markers, and improves how your body uses vitamin D, magnesium, and calcium most guys are already deficient because modern soil is depleted and it's barely present in processed food foods high in boron: avocados, almonds, raisins, prunes, chickpeas or just supplement 3-6mg daily. it costs almost nothing

@thegarybrecka the dopamine part is what most people underestimate. Huberman cited a study showing cold water exposure increased dopamine by 250% and it stayed elevated for hours, not minutes. that's longer lasting than caffeine without the crash or the tolerance buildup

Cold exposure = controlled stress. And controlled stress builds a stronger system. Better circulation. Higher dopamine. Improved metabolic response. Start with 30–90 seconds at the end of your shower.

@davidasinclair so exercise-trained older people already have high NAD+ levels naturally. kind of raises the question whether you need a supplement or just a consistent training habit

@edgaralandough genuine question, did you get bloodwork before and after? the subjective stuff sounds promising but 15 lbs in 4 weeks is aggressive and it would be good to know what your hormones and metabolic markers actually did

4 week Peptide update: - Reta worked almost to well lol, as I said I didn’t need to lose weight just wanted to try it out for yall. I went from 190 to 175 pounds. No visual muscle loss but I guarantee I lost some. Cravings didnt exist. Energy was through the roof. I’m completely caffeine free. HRV did go down a tad and RHR slightly up but only by 5. - KLOW: this one has been epic for me. My back pain is basically 100% gone. I’ve had low back issues since HS sports/lifting. My knees feel great. My skin looks better than ever. I have had “red cheeks” my whole life (I have KP) and now outside of when I leave the sauna my redness is WAYYY down day to day. Skin looks tighter and feels incredibly smooth. - just started Sermorelin: my sleep has improved and RHR has as well. I’m only 5 days on this so don’t want to give a fake update. MORE TO COME! KLOW is going to become a staple for me, I’ll use Reta for future cuts. MORE TO COME! So far, loving being a Lab Rat. @_TrueVoodoo

Sauerkraut may be one of the best foods to help with colon polyps. It contains lactobacillus, which helps reduce inflammation, block harmful bacteria, and protect the colon lining. See how this fermented food could support colon health. drbrg.co/47mg7RE

@KeruboSk or maybe depression, anxiety, addiction, and obesity all share the same root: broken dopamine signaling. and GLP-1s happen to act on the reward pathways in the brain. it's not one drug fixing three random things, it's one drug hitting the same system from a different angle

Ozempic was designed for diabetes. Then it became the biggest weight loss drug in history. Now a massive new study shows it also significantly reduces depression, anxiety, and addiction risk. One drug. Three completely different conditions. Science is barely keeping up with what GLP-1s are doing The study found that people taking semaglutide (the active ingredient in Ozempic and Wegovy) saw major drops in depression and anxiety alongside the weight loss effects everyone already knew about. It also showed reduced risk of substance use disorders. A weight loss drug that may help treat addiction. Nobody predicted that.

@femalelongevity the Finnish sauna data is genuinely strong. 4-7 sessions per week cut cardiovascular mortality by 50% in a 20 year study. you don't need $296k to get that, just a gym membership with a sauna

@anishmoonka so the intermittent fasting guys who swear skipping breakfast changed their life might just be running on elevated cortisol and mistaking it for focus

Skip breakfast, and you starve the production line for the chemical that keeps you from feeling anxious and depressed. It’s called serotonin, and 90% of it is made in your gut, not your brain. This study pooled 14 studies and 399,550 people to see what happens. Breakfast skippers had 39% higher odds of depression, 23% higher odds of chronic stress, and 55% higher odds of psychological distress. For teenagers it was worse. Anxiety odds jumped 51%. The obvious pushback here is that maybe depressed people just stop eating in the morning. A 2024 genetics study in Nutrition Journal tested exactly that, using DNA from 193,860 people. The method uses inherited gene variants as a kind of natural experiment to tease apart cause from effect. Skipping breakfast raised depression risk by 36%. Depression had zero effect on whether someone skipped breakfast. The arrow only goes one direction. Serotonin is built from tryptophan, a nutrient your body can’t produce on its own. You have to eat it. After 10 to 12 hours of fasting overnight, your tryptophan levels bottom out. Caltech researchers showed in a 2015 Cell paper that specific gut bacteria signal your intestinal cells to start producing serotonin, and without those bacteria doing their thing, mice lost roughly 60% of their gut serotonin. Food is what turns the whole system on. Cortisol (your body’s stress hormone) adds to the picture. Researchers at UC Davis tracked women who regularly skipped breakfast and found their cortisol was elevated from morning through midafternoon, even on completely calm days with zero external stressors. Their daily cortisol rhythm was blunted, a pattern normally seen in people dealing with chronic stress. About 15% of American adults skip breakfast regularly. Among 20 to 39 year olds, closer to one in four. That same age group leads in new depression diagnoses.

@tyromper the original study linking frequency to lower prostate cancer risk was observational and self-reported. not exactly gold standard. what actually has solid evidence: not being overweight, staying active, and not drinking

Don't avoid sugar & processed foods we know cause cancer. Don't avoid booze & cigarettes which we know causes cancer. Don't hit the gym, sauna, & get physically fit like we know reduces risk of all diseases including cancer. What does mainstream tell guys....... Look at porn more for your health? THESE PEOPLE HATE YOU!!!!! Where's the health campaign telling men to hit the gym, eat whole real food, open their Bibles daily, walk 10,000 steps a day, & get outside in the sun???

IfI Wanted to Lose Belly Fat By Summer, I'd Do This: 1. Eat the Optimized Mediterranean Diet. Fatty fish, leafy greens, berries, nuts, and olive oil. This helps lowers inflammation, improves insulin sensitivity, and helps strip visceral (belly) fat without extreme dieting.

Vitamin D is not a vitamin. It's a steroid hormone synthesised in the skin from cholesterol via ultraviolet light, then converted in the liver and kidneys into its active form, where it regulates gene expression in virtually every tissue in the body. We called it a vitamin because we discovered it while studying deficiency diseases in people who didn't go outside. The name stuck. The modern guidelines, designed for people who eat seed oils, avoid animal fat, apply SPF 30 before going to the letterbox, and work in offices under fluorescent lighting, are very effective at suppressing it. You need cholesterol (eat fat) and sunlight (go outside) to make it. We've managed to pathologise both.

Spinach is the worst leafy green you can eat. -Highest pesticide amounts of ALL produce by weight. 75% of non-organic samples contain permethrin (neurotoxic insecticide banned in Europe). -High oxalates (~800mg/ cooked cup) = significant kidney stone risk -Accumulates cadmium/lead Lettuce (romaine etc.) is far less problematic.
