@airindia You all have to be embarrassed for the appalling behavior. For crying out loud, you are a flagship carrier for India and you have brought nothing but shame in handling this chaotic situation. Can @AAI_Official intervene before the situation gets out of hand??

@transportgooru Hi, we understand that flight disruptions are never convenient. The delay is due to operational reasons. We are alerting our airport team right away for assistance and updates.

Whatever @airindia is capable of doing, there is one thing this airline is absolutely not qualified to do - flying!!! Absolute shit show after they moved/cancelled the flight AI 4217 (Mumbai-Dubai). Passengers are irate and dressing up the airline staff! Tensions flaring now

@airindia Oh, we understand. Cancellations happen but the way you handle things after cancellation is what is exposing your team’s utter incompetence. I’ve been begging to get us past the immigration so we can catch another flight.. it’s now more than an hour and no help whatsoever

Well, not sure what @flyspicejet maintenance regime looks like.. but this doesn’t seem very hygienic. I looked around and every seatbelt is dirty. Yes, I get ur “low cost carrier” echo, but this is unacceptable, esp on an international flight. Do better, @AjaySingh_SG!

We are almost a quarter of way through the 21st century, living in the most advanced technology/tools driven society that mankind has ever created.. and yet, @IndiGo6E cannot find a way to stop sticking these silly tags on our passports. Let’s do better guys! #Aviation #India

Public transport often treats bikes as a luxury—or worse a competitor—but without them leaves revenue on the table. For 25 years, the Dutch have extended their railways’ reach through (300,000) parking spaces and (25,000) shared bikes. The result? A doubling of train ridership.

A few years ago, city bus service in Odisha had fare slabs like ₹5, 7, 10, 13, 15… up to ₹25 or ₹30. Conductors often struggled with change, leading to delays, arguments, and irritated passengers and staff. As managing director of the company, I discussed the problem with @PrashanthBachu, a brilliant urban mobility expert. He suggested: “Simplify it. Make it ₹5–10–15–20…” Our team was very hesitant. As a govt company, we couldn’t raise fares. This meant we could only reduce fares to simplify the slabs — ₹7 → ₹5, ₹13 → ₹10, a clear revenue drop ! Prashanth said it wouldn’t. This sounded illogical but his reasoning was brilliant: • Faster ticketing reduces freeloaders, those who get off before the conductor reaches them. • Happier passengers and staff mean smoother service. • Globally, fares are in easy multiples. We took the risk and implemented it. Result? Everything improved. We had fewer complaints and happier staff. And the biggest surprise: Revenue went up by 3%. Sometimes, simplifying is smarter than increasing. @CRUT_BBSR

Hmmmm.. in a nation that moves 24 million people everyday on its rail network, @IRCTCofficial seems to have some IT infrastructure issues.. as a newbie, I struggled mightily first trying to register on the website and fighting with the booking. It has to be better @RailMinIndia

So, I’m just learning that @Nespresso really doesn’t give a hoot about recycling despite bragging about their lofty sustainability goals/accomplishments? What a shame! 4 days of waiting for these used capsules to be picked up (and making a couple of phone calls to nudge them.

“Number two, they can’t even tell you where this Palestinian state is.” Hmmm… Brits, the created this post- colonial mess, profoundly disagree with this above statement. :) #justsayin
Arsen Ostrovsky@Ostrov_A

U.S. Sec State @SecRubio on Fox with Brian Kilmeade, on those rushing to recognize Palestinian state: "It’s irrelevant.  It doesn’t mean anything.  First of all, none of these countries have the ability to create a Palestinian state.  There can be no Palestinian state unless Israel agrees to it.  Number two, they can’t even tell you where this Palestinian state is.  They can’t tell you who will govern it.  And I think number three, it’s counterproductive."

Sad to see how walking infrastructure (sidewalks, pedestrian crossings, etc) is pretty much non-existent in urban India. Safety of pedestrians is at grave risk the moment they step into these streets, esp in Tier 2 cities like Madurai #MakeIndiaWalkAgain #SmartCities @ShivAroor

Battery energy storage fires, like those at Moss Landing and an X data center this year, make headlines. But since 2012, only 28 thermal incidents have been reported in US/Canada BESS projects—a very low rate given the huge number of operating hours.
