January 6th was very real. I was within 30 feet of the insurrectionists who invaded the Capitol. They were not peaceful.

In trying to rewrite the facts of January 6, Trump is trying to steal history in the same way he tried to steal the election. But we know the truth, because we saw it with our own eyes. Trump’s mob wasn’t a peaceful protest. It was a violent assault.

BREAKING: Democratic Governor Roy Cooper of North Carolina has just vetoed a contentious bill that aimed to prohibit the majority of abortions after 12 weeks. With this said, it is likely that Republicans will attempt to override the veto. Cooper stated: "This bill has nothing to do with making women safer, and everything to do with banning their reproductive freedom." I stand with Cooper on this decision and feel that access to abortions should be between a woman and her doctor. Everyone's situation is different and their beliefs are as well. The government should not determine when or if a woman should be able to have a procedure. I am completely against using abortion as a form of birth control, but I am even more against government deciding what women can and can not do. Thoughts?
