@bigmanpezza I removed my middle name by deed poll because I wanted to simplify my name. Thankfully, I'm yet to have anyone question me for not having a middle name. It definitely makes filling in forms a lot easier.

@chriscollins462 @drbxxo2 Oh, and for some reason, concessionary travel passes in Tyne and Wear seem to be predominantly issued for a year. My old LA gave me a five year concessionary travel pass (which obviously had to be returned when I moved out of the area).

@chriscollins462 @drbxxo2 I moved to Sunderland in July 2025, and put in my application for a concessionary travel pass straightaway. It took them **five months** to approve my application. My old LA took a couple of days and didn’t ask for as much evidence. Pisstake.

@tattooedneil @GC_Rail Nah, they never arrange ticket acceptance with LNER, all they tell you to do is get the next Grand Central service. This is why I always pay to travel with LNER: Grand Central is just too unreliable for my liking - seems to always be either late or cancelled.

@thatzambezichic @GWR @magic_breakfast There's different categories of runner: marathons aren't just for unimpaired athletes, paraathletes (athletes with disabilities) can participate too. The runner in this picture participated in the LL1 category for those with a lower limb impairment, so they've done well.

@Di32816228 @My_Metro @arrivanortheast The same services call at the station on a Saturday. The nearest railway station with a good service frequency is Morpeth on the East Coast Main Line, which sees a fairly frequent service in both directions.

@Di32816228 @My_Metro @arrivanortheast Alternatively, you do have Widdrington mainline station, but that gets an extremely infrequent service. No service at all on a Sunday, and the only weekday services are the 07:46 (to Newcastle), 17:44 (from Newcastle to Chathill) and 19:53 (to Newcastle).
