upon diving into venture capital world I quickly realized that every founder relationship was unique. some don’t talk to you for half a year but are dominating, some invite you to their daily stand-ups, and everything in between. over the last 2 years it has been an absolute pleasure “working” (they do all the work) with @web3pm, @Jack_Dille, and the entire @icebreaker_xyz team in building the universal reputation system for the internet. if you haven’t setup an account yet please do. no points, no gimmicks, just good old self-sovereign data solving real problems. note @ChainVision_ backs Icebreaker

The age of job boards is over, and has been for a while. 10 years ago when I was graduating uni, I submitted 85 applications for posted roles and received ~0 responses. Now with AI, this is much worse. Go seek out the execs at companies you want to work at.
AJ@ajbanon

Not enough people are talking about this. The spam into new job openings is insane. Our numbers show a 10x increase in applicants for the same jobs we posted a year prior. We've abandoned most online platforms and rely almost entirely on referrals and people we meet in person.

@lennysan @AndrewYNg I don’t buy this. Only if it’s pure waterfall, but I see PMs taking more and delivering prototypes and POCs rather than written docs….and even the documentation gets way faster.

Product management is becoming the new bottleneck according to @AndrewYNg "I don't see product management work becoming faster at the same speed as engineering. I'm seeing this ratio shift. Just yesterday, one of my teams came to me, and for the first time, when we're planning headcount for a project, this team proposed to me not to have 1:4 PM/engineers, but to have 1:0.5 PM/engineers. I still don't know if this is a good idea, but for the first time in my life, managers are proposing having twice as many PMs as engineers. I think it's a sign of where the world is going."

People trying all kinds of hacks with cold outreach One pattern I’m seeing is trying to bootstrap social proof by referencing someone I know, even though the sender doesn’t. There’s a line between scrappiness and outright deception. This one crosses it. Your reputation will eventually catch up to you

To productize, most teams try ownership or economics when they really should be focused on utility ownership is flawed because people say they care but then continue doing things like using X economics is flawed because the value of your data is actually low (and most tokenomics don't work for consumer) utility is the only way, but this focus is like cryptonite for most crypto teams

a decentralized @plaid for ai is a billion dollar idea that can help humanity: the ai of the future will know your favorite songs from spotify, your health from apple, your meetings from gmail. it will use this personal context to help you live a richer, healthier, more creative life. but today this is not possible because all that data lives scattered in private silos. without a secure bridge, models like chatgpt, gemini, and claude must either guess or scrape data quietly, which risks a world built on surveillance, mistrust, and centralized control. we need a plaid for ai that serves as a secure bridge between your personal data and ai models, preserving your privacy and rewarding you transparently. crypto and zk proofs make this possible: > zk proofs and zkTLS let ai learn from your data without ever seeing sensitive details. (@OpacityNetwork, @SuccinctLabs, @eigencloud) > @ethereum ensures the system upon which the ai is built and data is secured is resilient, transparent, and provable. ethereum also lets you create fee shares openly that benefit users and companies alike, thus aligning incentives. to succeed economically, incentives must be thoughtfully designed: > users should benefit through meaningful aggregated payments + improved personalized services, > platforms like spotify, meta, apple should gain structured & sustainable revenue streams from transparently hosting user data without risking their core competitive advantages. > ai companies such as @OpenAI , @AnthropicAI , and @GoogleDeepMind should significantly reduce compliance costs and enhance data quality while building greater consumer trust and saving themselves from lawsuits. > new startups can gain more ways to go 0-1 by tapping into this network, this is net beneficial for humanity as it allows more shots on goal for us to make truly great tech careful economic engineering made possible by ethereum, can transform data-sharing from zero-sum surveillance capitalism into a sustainable ecosystem that fairly rewards all contributors + accelerates ethical innovation. if ai understanding you deeply is inevitable (and it is) then we must ensure it serves humanity, not surveils it. to whoever builds this: may your code honor privacy as a right, reward effort as value, and leave behind a system more just than the one you inherited.
