The abduction of Mr. Sarsour, a beloved leader of Milwaukee’s Muslim community, is utterly unjust and cruel. Once again, the administration is targeting a Palestinian-American for having the courage to be a leader and to stand against injustice. We call for his immediate release and return to his family. Salah, president of the Islamic Society of Milwaukee, has lived in the United States as a lawful permanent resident for more than 30 years and is a respected community leader, business owner, and advocate. He was pulled over by multiple ICE agents and taken into custody without cause, then transferred across state lines, from Wisconsin to Chicago and later to a detention center in Indiana, while his family was left searching for answers about his whereabouts and condition. Even high school kids are not safe from the lies of @JGreenblattADL, who has once again ignored many recent examples of real antisemitism to obess over a manufactured controversy involving Muslim children.  Mr. Greenblatt already knows that other student groups in Virginia have acted out the same exact recruitment skit, including a Christian student group and even a student government association.  (Example: x.com/Rahimuness71tz…) None of the videos have anything to do the Jewish community, and only Muslim student groups have been punished for producing the videos.  You can certainly call all of the skits in poor taste, but you cannot claim that Muslim students alone must have some sort of nefarious, bigoted motive for filming the exact same skit that other students filmed. Again, Mr. Greenblatt already knows all of this. He doesn't care about facts. He cares about fomenting hatred against American Muslims and weaponizing false allegations of antisemitism to make it easier to silence criticism of the Israeli apartheid government. That's the game, but more and more Americans see through  it every day.

UPDATE: yesterday, @CAIRCalifornia met with detained British journalist Sami Hamdi at an ICE detention facility in California. After the meeting, CAIR-CA, @MLFA, and attorney Hassan Ahmad filed a lawsuit and multiple motions to protect Mr. Hamdi's rights and block the government from transferring him away from his legal team while his case unfolds. Here is a statement: "We were heartened to see that Sami Hamdi is in positive spirits despite his abduction and the ongoing deprivation of his freedom. He is more dedicated than ever before to continue standing in solidarity with Americans advocating for free speech, human rights, and justice for all. "We and our partners have now filed multiple legal motions, including a temporary restraining order to ensure that the government does not disappear Mr. Hamdi into a faraway detention facility, cut off from his legal team, while his case unfolds. "We again call on the @StateDept and @ICEgov to stop abducting journalists, students and others with valid visas based on their criticism of a foreign government's genocide. Every single person on American soil, including immigrants and visitors, has the right to free speech. Pro-Israel leader Ezra Weinblatt has been arrested for allegedly attacking anti-war protesters outside the Israeli embassy in Washington, DC, hitting one woman in the face and destroying the demonstrators' audio equipment. Law enforcement should consider hate crime charges against Mr. Weinblatt. If reports that Mr. Weinblatt is a board member with @JCRCgw are accurate, the group should renounce both his alleged conduct and the anti-Palestinian extremism that contributes to such criminal behavior. The wave of violence and discrimination that has been unleashed against Americans peacefully advocating for Palestinian human rights has been dismissed and downplayed for far too long, and must come to an end.
