Minneapolis registered sex offender sentenced to 27 years for production of child p*rnography During the period of illicit activity, Levi became a convicted sex offender as a result of a separate Minnesota case. Levi pleaded guilty to a felony charge in October 2023 and was sentenced in February 2024. However, Levi’s 36-month prison sentence was stayed by Stearns County Judge Nathaniel Welte, a 2020 Gov. Tim Walz appointee. Levi was instead sentenced to only one day of confinement that he had already served in jail and was placed on probation.

Ridiculous - isn’t it? The founding fathers got this one wrong or we aren’t interpreting it right. Just because they’re judges - doesn’t make them honorable - that comes from character and honestly I do not know how any judge could be “impartial” just based on their own family life and life experiences. They shouldn’t be set for life. Every elected position in government should be up for re-election every year.

I guess tyrannical judges are one thing that the Founding Fathers didn’t think all the way through or maybe they just expected better people to be seated as judges. One judge can stymie the entire Executive Branch but it requires the entire Legislative Branch to stop business and vote one rogue judge out? Makes no sense.
