If you study medicine in the UK, it basically doesn’t matter what university you attend. For any other subject, it matters a lot. Huge premium for Oxbridge.

Unless your getting hammered or celebrating an occasion, drinking is such a pointless sport.

There's a huge fetishisation of "education" going on in response to this. In degrees which don't have a direct link to employment 90% of students don't care. No one does the readings, no one contributes in class, no one has any passion beyond becoming a consultant.

The moment you test positive the 1:1M number doesn't matter the 97 and 3 is only one that does

97% accuracy rate means 3% false positives. With 1,000,000 tests, you'd have ~30,000 false positives.
Even if you test positive, your odds are still 1/30,000 that you have the disease.
