@DHSgov @USCIS @StephenM @JDVance Wow! A 65-year-old got selected and approved for an H1B visa! Are we, the US citizens, too lazy to find the jobs meant for us? Are we not trying enough or not looking at the right places? This screenshot was taken from a publicly available YouTube video posted by an immigration lawyer for public education on work visas last week. I am not claiming any wrongdoing here, it is not for me to decide if any fraud was committed in this H1B visa petition and the related approval by DOL/USCIS! I am posting it for public awareness only! I will remove this post if the related law firm asks me to remove it. Video available here, at the 2hr 25min mark! There’s an open secret many don’t talk about: some Indian spouses in the US on dependent visas (like H4) are landing jobs through proxy interviews. Someone else clears the technical rounds, and the candidate steps in later on the job. This raises serious questions about ethics, fairness, and the credibility of hiring systems. It also impacts genuinely skilled professionals who follow the rules.

Unfortunately millions of H1Bs have flooded the US, particularly fast growing sunbelt cities in the last two decades. And the VAST majority of them receive these roles via HR hiring nepotism and H1B scheming.
Critics will say these are "overly skilled" and "specialized" workers but most are software developer positions that our own college graduates easily could handle. Meanwhile, our young tech graduates cannot get jobs.
The problem lies in the company hiring practices once an Indian gets into management where they'll only hire their own. It's a sad state of affairs and I've personally worked with hundreds of H1Bs as clients so know all this firsthand.

How about a complete moratorium and canceling of the current visas? There are so many Americans unemployed, or underemployed - many have been directly replaced by a foreign worker.
