Today, Kharam Vaiphei village was reduced to ashes while innocent Kuki civilians fled for their lives under gunfire and terror. The KukiCommunity strongly condemns the brutal burning of our ancestral village allegedly carried out by NSCN-IM, ZUF Kamson group, Arambai Tenggol, and Myanmar-based Meitei militants while Central Forces and Manipur Police allegedly failed to protect innocent civilians on the ground. Families were forced to run from their own homes as flames consumed houses, properties, and ancestral land built through generations. Women, children, and elderly villagers were left helpless while armed groups allegedly moved openly and fearlessly during the attack. The silence and failure to stop such violence have deeply angered the KukiCommunity. Serious allegations have also been raised against the SP of Kangpokpi district for allegedly providing protection or allowing armed groups linked to NSCN-IM, ZUF Kamson group, and Arambai Tenggol to operate freely during the burning of Kharam Vaiphei village. If these allegations are true, it represents a complete betrayal of constitutional duty and raises disturbing questions about how innocent citizens are expected to trust the very institutions meant to protect them. The KukiCommunity wants the entire nation and international community to know that Kuki ancestral villages are being attacked, civilians displaced, homes burnt, and innocent people terrorized while those responsible continue to operate without fear. This is not peace. This is not justice. This is the destruction of innocent lives under the shadow of political silence and selective action. We demand immediate and strict action against NSCN-IM, ZUF Kamson group, Arambai Tenggol, Myanmar-based Meitei militants, and every individual involved in the burning of Kharam Vaiphei village. We also demand an independent investigation into the role of officials accused of failing to stop or prevent the attack. The Government of India must immediately intervene before more innocent lives and villages are destroyed. Enough of the suffering. Enough of the silence. Enough of watching Kuki villages burn while the world looks away. @NarendraModi @AmitShah @RajnathSingh @JPNadda @BJP4India @INCIndia @RahulGandhi @kharge @priyankagandhi @PMOIndia @HMOIndia @rashtrapatibhvn @VPIndia @NIA_India @CBIHeadquarters @India_NHRC @SupremeCourtIND @DelhiHighCourt @BarandBench @LiveLawIndia @IndianArmyAdgPI @adgpi @official_dgar @AssamRiflesDG @UN @UNHumanRights @UN_News_Centre @POTUS @StateDept @EUparliament @ICC @amnesty @hrw @ANI @PTI_News @DDNewslive @timesofindia @the_hindu @IndianExpress @ndtv @CNNnews18 @BBCWorld @Reuters @AP @AFP @AlJazeera @CNN

Kharam Vaiphei, a #Kuki-Zo village, was reportedly attacked and set on fire today by the #ZUF Kamson faction, allegedly linked to the #NSCN-IM. The area had remained relatively peaceful until security forces dismantled bunkers in the vicinity. Residents are deeply disturbed that, shortly after the bunkers were removed, homes were allegedly burned in the presence of security personnel. This has sparked serious questions about how such an incident could unfold despite the deployment of armed forces. The affected community deserves clarity, accountability, and justice. An independent and transparent investigation is crucial to determine the facts and address the concerns of the people. @NIA_India @YKhemchandSingh @UNHumanRights @KonthoujamG @LokBhavManipur @official_dgar @crpfindia @Spearcorps @adgpi @rashtrapatibhvn @SCJudgments

𝗞𝗵𝗮𝗿𝗮𝗺 𝗩𝗮𝗶𝗽𝗵𝗲𝗶 𝗞𝘂𝗸𝗶 ADIVASI 𝗩𝗶𝗹𝗹𝗮𝗴𝗲 𝗔𝗹𝗹𝗲𝗴𝗲𝗱𝗹𝘆 𝗦𝗲𝘁 𝗔𝗯𝗹𝗮𝘇𝗲 𝗶𝗻 𝗞𝗮𝗻𝗴𝗽𝗼𝗸𝗽𝗶 𝗗𝗶𝘀𝘁𝗿𝗶𝗰𝘁 Kangpokpi, May 30, 2026: Kharam Vaiphei village in Kangpokpi district, Manipur, was allegedly set ablaze today, May 30, 2026, according to local residents and eyewitnesses. The incident comes amid heightened tensions following the killing of three Kuki pastors and the continued detention of 14 Kuki hostages. Villagers alleged that cadres linked to a proxy force of the NSCN-IM, along with individuals from the neighbouring Liangmai villages of Konsakhul and Konsaram, were responsible for the arson attack. Eyewitnesses further claimed that central security forces and Manipur Police personnel had conducted an operation in the area prior to the incident, during which residents were evacuated from the village. According to their accounts, the village was subsequently set on fire after civilians had been cleared from the area. Local sources reported that several houses and properties were damaged in the fire, forcing residents to seek safety elsewhere. The allegations have sparked concern among local communities, who are demanding an impartial investigation into the circumstances surrounding the incident. Community leaders and civil society organizations have condemned the reported burning of the village and called on the authorities to ensure the protection of civilians, establish accountability, and prevent further escalation of violence in the region. #𝐂𝐇𝐈𝐊𝐈𝐌_𝐓𝐄_𝐀𝐖𝐆𝐈𝐍 @chinkukimizogin #BreakingNews #Manipur #Kangpokpi #KharamVaiphei #KukiVillage #VillageBurning #ManipurViolence #KukiHostages #JusticeForKukis #HumanRights #StopViolence #EthnicConflict #NSCNIM #ZUFKamson #KukiPastors #ReleaseTheHostages #PeaceInManipur #TribalRights #NorthEastIndia #KukiZo #SaveCivilians #StandForJustice #VoiceForTheVoiceless #EmergencyInManipur #ManipurNews

KIM Slams ‘Terrorist Act’ as 14 Kuki Hostages Remain Detained; Flags Selective Justice Ahead of May 30 Rally Songpi, May 29, 2026 The Kuki Inpi Manipur (KIM) on Thursday condemned the continued captivity of 14 Kuki individuals in Senapati district, calling it a “terrorist act” and accusing the government of “blatant failure” to secure their release nearly a month after the abduction. The statement comes ahead of KIM’s nationwide rally scheduled for May 30. The apex Kuki body expressed deep concern over what it termed the inability of government and security agencies to rescue the detainees. According to KIM, the 14 civilians were to be escorted to Kangpokpi district but were allegedly intercepted and taken hostage by the Senapati District Students’ Association (SDSA). The incident reportedly occurred with the knowledge of the Naga People’s Organisation (NPO) and in the presence of police personnel. An FIR has been filed over the illegal detention, but KIM alleged no concrete action has been taken against those involved. The group added that seven trucks and one Alto car linked to the case remain untraced, stating that locating the vehicles could yield critical leads on the hostages’ whereabouts. “The continued failure to trace these vehicles or take visible action, despite the filing of an FIR, raises serious concerns about the sincerity and urgency of the investigation,” KIM said. KIM also questioned disparities in law enforcement response amid Manipur’s ethnic unrest. It noted that four arrests were reportedly made over the disappearance of six Naga individuals, while no arrests have occurred in the killing of three Kuki church leaders. “Such selective action and unequal application of the law sends a dangerous message and seriously undermines public confidence in the neutrality and fairness of law enforcement agencies,” the statement said. “Justice cannot be community-specific.” The organisation warned that continued inaction and “selective justice” risk worsening the fragile situation and eroding public trust. KIM demanded immediate intervention to rescue the hostages and impartial enforcement of law across communities. #𝐂𝐇𝐈𝐊𝐈𝐌_𝐓𝐄_𝐀𝐖𝐆𝐈𝐍 @chinkukimizogin #KukiHostages #KIM #Manipur #Songpi #KukiInpiManipur #JusticeForKukiHostages #ReleaseTheHostages #StopSelectiveJustice #HumanRights #ManipurCrisis #EthnicViolence #KukiZo #Kangpokpi #Senapati #SDSA #NPO #NortheastIndia #PeaceAndJustice #RuleOfLaw #SaveTheHostages #EqualJustice #KukiRally #May30Rally #ManipurNews #TribalRights #JusticeDelayedJusticeDenied #StandWithKuki #BreakingNews #IndiaNews

📍Hyderabad: Kuki student group seeks impartial probe into church leaders’ killings in Manipur On Friday, May 15, a gathering of more than 200 Kuki community members, students, church officials and supporters, convened at Secunderabad’s Centenary Baptist Church to pay tribute to three prominent Kuki church leaders from Manipur who were ambushed and killed during the Manipur conflict. “These pastors were not just spiritual guides but beacons of hope in troubled times. Their senseless killing demands accountability … No community should live in fear of such targeted violence,” said Mangpi Haokip, vice president of KSO-H. Mangpi told TNM that many media houses were choosing not to report on the situation in the Northeast, leading to various religious groups and student bodies taking up different forms of agitation and demonstrations across the country. Mangpi asserted that the basic demand of the organisation was for the National Investigation Agency (NIA) to take over the case. “We want impartial investigation,” he said. #SeparationOnlySolution #SeparateAdministrationForKukis #UTwithLegislature @PMOIndia @HMOIndia @official_dgar @adgpi @UNHumanRights @UN_HRC @manipur_police @TribalAffairsIn @hrw @MIB_India @CBIHeadquarters @NIA_India @Spearcorps @easterncomd @AmitShah @narendramodi thenewsminute.com/telangana/hyde… #

Protests demanding the safe release of six remaining Naga civilians allegedly being held hostage intensified on May 16 at Kanglatongbi in Kangpokpi district. The agitation, led by the Koubru Range Liangmai Women’s Union, entered its fourth day as several civil society and indigenous groups joined the demonstration. Protesters raised slogans against violence and abduction, carrying placards reading “Hostages are Human, Not Weapons” and “Where is Our Government?” According to organisers, 20 Naga civilians were allegedly abducted from Leilon Vaiphei village following the May 13 ambush incident in Kangpokpi district in which three church leaders were killed. While several individuals have reportedly been released, six are still said to remain in captivity. Civil society leaders urged both the state and Central governments to intervene immediately and ensure the safe return of the remaining civilians. The protests come amid heightened tensions in parts of Manipur following recent violence in Kangpokpi and Noney districts. #Manipur #Kangpokpi #Naga #Protest #HostageCrisis #NortheastIndia

The alleged abduction of innocent Kuki civilians is a grave matter that cannot be ignored. Reports pointing towards the involvement of Saloni Tony must be taken seriously and investigated without delay. If he is innocent, a fair investigation will reveal the truth. But if found guilty, immediate arrest and strict legal action must follow. From the reported intimidation of Kuki women in Hengbung Kuki Village to the alleged role in the illegal abduction of Kuki civilians in Senapati, the growing pattern of fear and violence has deeply disturbed the people. Such acts threaten peace, justice and the safety of innocent civilians. We urge @manipur_police and @NIA_India to conduct a transparent and impartial investigation into these serious allegations and ensure that everyone responsible is held accountable.
