something i love about engineering/physics/CS culture is that almost every intellectual resource is available for free. there's a real presumption of non-gatekeeping that is, in my experience, not present in other fields

Halo Infinite as it stands is a great Halo game and had it launched that way we would be having much different conversations about Halo rn
It's so frustrating that Xbox released and then left the game in Beta for pretty much 2 years and then have the audacity to act as if the game's failures were due to disinterest in the franchise.
No you just released a mediocre product initially and people moved on. By the time the game was even a semblance of a complete product it was too late

Halo Infinite was great imo. But if that still wasn't "enough" to warrant story follow ups and a continuation for Infinite vs. a Halo 1 remake I'm worried about the future of the franchise. I have ~456 hours in Infinite. I love the game. I hope Halo Studios can figure it out.

I'm not saying what this guy did was right - I'm just statistically pointing out that the company leasing this warehouse, Kimberly-Clark, has a CEO named Michael D. Hsu that made $16.4 million dollars last year.
That is $7,884.62 an hour.

I am imploring that the collective internet take a step back and understand how the justice system works, that this is not a plea of insanity at the time of the murder, and incompetence to stand trial is not a defense of the crime. It is a constitutionally protected right, that you have to be able to understand the proceedings and help in your defense.
Also, this trial is not over, the defense and prosecutor agreed to a 180 day hold, and the trial will continue once it is determined he is fit to stand trial. I like everyone else want to see him found guilty for the heinous crime, but the rage bait/ignorance over this is too much. No matter what this guy will never walk the streets again.

It's silly, but this example perfectly illustrates what I hate about Opus. Claude models treat the prompt as a vibe. GPT models treat them as instructions. When asked about what runtime to use, Opus recommends Bun, even though it only really works as a package manager here. Codex immediately answers the question clearly, and gives the right context each point along the way.
