It's very simple, when mom isn't around a father can't trust public bathrooms when it comes to the safety of his children and the father was well within his right to go with his daughter to make sure she's okay and that bathroom isn't an absolute cesspool.

@JackNapierNot I used to do it all the time with my daughter and saw many other dads do the same. It would have never crossed my mind to go into the ladies room. Many places have ‘family bathrooms’ now, which is helpful.
