This BART fare dodging thing is amazing because this is literally the only time I’ve ever seen San Francisco do a public project that didn’t go wildly over budget and recouped the investment earlier than expected

For the maintenance, here is says 961 hours disappeared in six months, at 30 an hour that’s 30k, way less than 10 mil

Without the specter of "coordination problems" requiring high-minded intellectuals' intervention haunting your imaginarium, choosing red is no more complicated than mundane decisions we trust people with every day.
- Don't cross the street in front of a speeding truck.
- Don't drink bleach or brush your teeth with drain cleaner or any of a hundred other poisons you encounter on a daily basis.
- Etc.

If this was how the buttons looked, what portion of humanity would press blue? It'd probably be a large enough number due to mistakes, the young, altruists, etc., such that it remains wise to press blue.

Like I don’t see any inherent value in “non-jagged lines” and if it’s a proxy for fairness, just go to straight to fairness.

1) New England is gerrymandered
2) The effect of this is pretty minimal
If you redraw every state you can get 5 more competitive seats (2 in CT, 2 in MA, 1 in RI). BUT...
