@anm @dvlamoen @yimbyism If they did major road diets to the streets, then yes it could be transformed Rotterdam was rebuilt post wwII as a car sewers. And the Dutch retrofitted the streets to be more human scale starting in the 1970s. It can be done.

Mission Bay redevelopment was one of the biggest wastes of prime land in the country. Embarrassingly low density. It's built as if it was on some Phoenix light rail corridor. Actually, I'm pretty sure you could build even denser in Phoenix.

Outside of the waterfront, it is a terrible place to walk, bike or take transit. It infuriates me how much the street prioritize cars. Terrible wide lanes, insane highway off—ramps speeds. Long-ass traffic lights. Lights at every g damn intersection. I’d never raise a family in that hood. It isn’t the walkable San Francisco we all cherish

My last 3 bookings with @Airbnb have now all fallen victim to last minute cancelations by hosts. @airbnb's stance is "sorry, host cancelled" with zero consequences basically rendering it useless due to lack of predictability. So sad.
