Something that I've truly learned last couple years: At the end of the day, we're all replaceable and/or dispensable. People running these companies only care about bottom line and their bank account. Not us. But your time with your family, friends? That isn't replaceable.

@CodifyBaseball Its hard for me to accept anything less than an inch off or on the plate as a ball or strike. That's just too close to expect umps to be 100%. For me it's the obvious pitches like Yamamoto immaculate inning or Schwarber losing it on Angel pitches where everyone but the ump knows.

@shannondrayer Can't really blame him. Castillo is probably one of the toughest to call due to his movement. The uptick in velo makes it even more challenging.

Estabrook is having trouble with the lower part of the strike zone. Yankees 5 for 5 in ABS challenges in the last 2 innings. Meanwhile, Castillo comes back with the K to get out of the 4th.

@PitchingNinja Had umps not missed the obvious balls that are way off the plate (think of Schwarber vs Angel) or pitches right down the middle (Yamamoto immaculate inning) we probably wouldn't have ABS. Seems like a few bad umps are now causing all this pain for others.

Umpire incompetence or a Rulebook/ABS Mismatch issue? 🤔 This pitch may have been both: -a Strike according the rulebook strike zone (3 dimensional/starting at the front of the plate), and -a Ball, according to ABS (2 dimensional/measured at the middle of the plate).

@PuckSports Nobody knows if Gilbert or Kirby have seen or rejected an extension. Maybe SEA has tried to get a deal done, but haven't landed on a value yet

On one hand you say the M's are brilliant for doing this because if he is the player they all think he is than it will be a steal. However, there is something about earning it and how he's viewed in the clubhouse. I dunno, perhaps that's overthinking it. The $11.8M a year puts him per year puts him 6th on the team. More than Gilbert, Kirby and Donovan. 4th largest overall contract on the team, $3M more than Naylor.

@MarinersSUR They would be better off with a 3rd CA and giving Garver some DH AB's when a lefty starts. He had some great AB's after sitting 4 games. Rob can play 2b and OF.

I'm sure bliss will go down once JP is healthy but I don't get why he's on the roster if not playing at all v LH missed most of last yr with injuries and he needs at bats most importantly & not a super versatile defender as a 26th man

@MrMasonZ_ @thejagepage TBH, they should be playing some against LH as well. This helps them maintain their timing. Also Bliss and Refsnyder have as many hits against LH pitching that Dom and Luke have.

I like this construction, I’m glad Cole Young isn’t being platooned, I like Refsnyder leading off… I hoped Garver would catch, Cal DH, throw Refsnyder in RF, but they wanted to get Robles in there. I can live with this though

@RefuseToLosePod The roster is not ideal at all. Garver should CA whenever there is a LH starting only. He should not CA when a RH starts. Unless Cal is sitting either Raley or Canzone will be sitting against a RH.

Mariners prediction for tonight. With LHP Joey Cantillo on the mound: 1) Garver catches, Cal moves to DH 2) Bliss plays 2B, Young sits 3) Refsnyder in RF 4) My guess is Robles is the odd man out and he plays tomorrow. Just a total guess. Will be interesting to see how its handled.
