@garethn @55merlinoa @xGPhilosophy His ball claiming ability in set piece situation is very poor for a goalkeeper of his height and caliber. He's an excellent shot stopper by the way. The way he panicks when crosses comes in and his poor ball playing ability is the reason why PSG got rid of him.

@Jerseyaffairs @55merlinoa @xGPhilosophy He saved his only penalty this season, conceded one direct free kick, a couple from free-kick crosses and a few from corners. I don't think many have done better than that, although it's a team effort for most of these things. His league-leading shot-stopping includes all this.

@xGPhilosophy Interesting because the eye test suggests Leno had a decent season with 1 or 2 errors. Don't really know how that's happened.

In April 2016, Ken Livingstone was ambushed by the odious John Mann and a camera crew following factual comments Ken made that Hitler supported Zionism. Ken was subsequently expelled from Labour Party while Mann left the party to become a Tory advisor.

@visegrad24 Same was true of George Floyd. He died of a drug overdose, but Derek Chauvin, the police officer in that case, was still sent to prison for murder.

🇬🇧 Hampshire police claim that Henry Nowak would have died anyway, regardless of whether he was handcuffed or not. The Hampshire police have issued an official defense for the actions taken by the officers who handcuffed 18-year-old Henry Nowak as he was pleading for help. The medical examiner has testified that Vickrum Digwa’s 21 cm blade had caused a catastrophic wound directly to Henry's heart. Because the blade penetrated so deeply, the blood was pooling inside his chest cavity rather than soaking his clothes immediately. According to the pathologist, the trauma to his heart was unsurvivable from the moment it occurred, arguing that it didn't matter who was handcuffed at the scene first. The Deputy Chief Constable has publicly stated that "the pathologist who spoke in court was clear: there was nothing officers could have done that day to save Henry. His wound was deep and internal, the bleeding extensive but internal." Henry's father, Mark Nowak, stressed that while the wound was fatal, the police's mishandling denied his son the right to die with dignity, care, or peace. Essentially, the British police shifted their narrative on Henry Nowak from "we did nothing wrong" to "he would have died anyway, so the delay doesn't matter."

Obviously unfortunate for Arsenal at the weekend, but I couldn't help but think of the @NTT20Pod stat where only 1 penalty in the EFL completely missed the goal this season. Decided to expand to Europe. Just 118 penalties from 4245 taken completely missed the goal!

Angry protesters confronted the police in Southampton, demanding they “bend the knee and pay their respects to Henry” Nowak. “What are you gonna do? Put me in cuffs and kill me?” said one after the police told them it was in the hands of the IOPC

For those proposing banning the Sikh kirkpan on the basis of “one rule for all”. Would that also not apply to the Scottish sgian dubh worn in a sock as part of traditional Highland dress? It’s also exempt but for cultural not religious reasons.

@HojaySax It's a mandatory red card if a team official, substitute or subbed player delays the restart of play by the opposing team.

London tube drivers who joined the strike today, you are the problem with today’s society. I would understand if you as a person could not change employment and therefore would need to strike for change. However, this is not the case for most of you. The demographic is mostly young to middle age and can Easily change career if they desire and reduce their working week. Honestly, it’s like we live in la la land. I don’t know why our government has not addressed this matter directly and stated this, surely this is common sense? This job will be among the first to go to AI and you drivers have no one to thank but yourselves. Jokers 🫵🏻🤣

Thats a horribly inefficient waste of time. You probably end up spending close to 5 hours just in grocery stores every week if you do this (nevermind the extra hours spent walking there and back as well), when you add up shopping+waiting in line. I'd rather just do 2-3 weeks worth of shopping at once in <2hours, drive my groceries right to my front door, and then not have to go to a store again for a few weeks There's a reason no one who gets a license ever uses public transit or walks anywhere ever again if they dont have to - its way worse in every way. Society should be more accommodating to cars, not less. Bike lanes for example, should be illegal

It is fascinating to see people get so close to the point, but not getting it. A selling point of living in a walkable city is that you don’t need to have more than like a bag of groceries per trip.
Based in Christ@theistinthought

Question to the ‘walkable city’ advocates who hate cars: If you go to the grocery store and have eight bags (or even four bags) of groceries, how do you get them home? You push around a little cart or something? Sounds bad.
