🎧 Audio book is now live on the site for MAKE book I ended up using the 30-second Instant Voice Clone by @elevenlabs and just talked into my laptop a bit Instead of the Professional Voice Clone with the 30-minute cut from me on the Lex Fridman podcast, because it had way too many problems, it stumbled over words, made random weird sounds, it just didn't work well The 30-second Instant Voice Clone does have much lower resemblance to my voice, it sounds more like an American voice, but at least it speaks properly 99% of the time I'll keep improving the resemblance by training with more data though over the next few weeks (I'm trying to unlock the 5-minute Instant Voice Clone beta on ElevenLabs) But at least this is good enough as a first version and easily listenable It's about 4.5 hours long! They're MP3s for each chapter of the book and tagged with category Audio Book so any good audio player like iTunes willt ry remember your last listening position (thx @marckohlbrugge for that tip) I will add a purchase option for current customers too, soon!

@DanielLockyer @robin_blix Everyone bitches about their hosting provider but you never hear many complaints about Hetzner. Normally it’s due to their verification at the start when opening an account. A testament of how a business should be run.

@DanielLockyer @robin_blix Normally low price VPS = poor reliability and bad customer service. With Hetzner they have consistently delivered both quality product where you don’t need tech support but when you do reach out to them they fix your problem.

Vercel pricing is absolutely insane, it blows my mind Data transfer starts at $150/TB with 1TB included Hetzner gives 20TB free, and then it's €1.19/TB So 20TB on Vercel is $2850, on Hetzner it's free (included with VPS) And then you have to pay extra per request? Perhaps apples and oranges but I haven't even included half the other things you need to run apps on Vercel

@aarondfrancis We would never get away with this in UK. If the authorities found out they would close you down for not having correct planning permission. Saying that if you don’t have employees and clients visiting then you would be fine. Love the setup

@mustafaabobakr_ @heyandras @coolifyio Yes there are two ways to do this. First is use the terminal login to the server and then find the Wordpress docker image you installed and then update the php config file from there. Or you can find a plugin that can update php config file.

The reason Wordpress is so popular is the trust everyone has in the platform from both developers and businesses. Wordpress is just a fork of a blogging platform called b2. Unless the WP can stop this from happening again I can see a new fork emerging in the near future.
