Dear @StateDept @UN @EU_Commission @AsstSecStateAF @UKParliament BBC Verify has approached the RSF for comment. Imran Abdullah, an adviser to the paramilitary, denied the group's fighters were targeting civilians in an interview with the BBC on Monday. Sudan has been ravaged by war since the conflict broke out in 2023, prompted by the collapse of the SAF and the RSF's fragile ruling coalition. More than 150,000 people have died across the country and about 12 million have fled their homes since then. Speaking to BBC Radio 4's Today programme, Denise Brown - the UN's Sudan coordinator - said she had received reports of executions against "unarmed men in particular" since the RSF entered el-Fasher. Killings of unarmed civilians or surrendering combatants is a war crime under the Geneva Convention.#StopCivilwarinsudan

Dear @SecMarcosR5215 @realDonaldTrump @HumanRightsCtte @UN @EU_Commission @AsstSecStateAF @_AfricanUnion #UNGA80 Several videos have since emerged showing men wearing military fatigues and some with what appear to be RSF patches carrying out extreme acts of violence around el-Fasher. The UN's Sudan coordinator said it had received "credible reports of summary executions" in the city during an interview with the BBC on Wednesday.#StopCivilwar

Dear @StateDept @antonioguterres @JosepBorrellF @WHO @_AfricanUnion @HumanRightsCtte @CanadaEthiopia Fighters from the paramilitary Rapid Support Forces (RSF) have executed a number of unarmed people after capturing the Sudanese city of el-Fasher, new videos analysed by BBC Verify show. The RSF, which has engaged in a brutal war with the Sudanese Armed Forces (SAF) for more than two years, seized a key military base in the city over the weekend after an extended siege.#stopcivilwarinsudan @BerhanuAsres

Tedros Adhanom Ghebreyesus
.@WHO is appalled and deeply shocked by reports of the tragic killing of more than 460 patients and companions at Saudi Maternity Hospital in El Fasher, #Sudan, following recent attacks and the abduction of health workers. Prior to this latest attack, WHO has verified 185 attacks on health care in Sudan with 1204 deaths and 416 injuries of health workers and patients since the start of the conflict in April 2023. Forty-nine of these attacks occurred this year alone, killing 966 people. All attacks on health care MUST STOP immediately and unconditionally. All patients, health personnel and health facilities must be protected under International Humanitarian Law. Ceasefire!

Subject: Urgent Call for Action: Return of Displaced Tigrayans to Their Homes Dear @StateDept, @USEmbassyAddis, @Refugees, @EU_Commission, @_AfricanUnion, @UN, @UKinEthiopia @BettyMcCollum04 @RedCross @WHO I hope this email finds you well. Today, on June 18, 2025, the 37th anniversary of the Martyrs of Tigray was commemorated in the historic city of Aksum, marking a day of reflection, unity, and renewed calls for justice. The solemn procession and public gathering witnessed a strong turnout of dignitaries, officials, and the community, all coming together to honor the memory of the fallen heroes. While the commemorative event was infused with a spirit of unity and remembrance, it also served as a poignant reminder of the ongoing displacement crisis affecting the people of Tigray. The voices of the displaced Tigrayans and residents of Axum rang loud and clear during the ceremony, as they passionately called for their immediate and safe return to their ancestral lands in western Tigray and other areas currently under occupation. The demand for the return of internally displaced Tigrayans to their homes has never been more urgent. The current situation in makeshift camps and temporary shelters is unsustainable, and the displaced populations are pleading for a dignified return to their communities. They are not only seeking shelter but also justice, peace, and the opportunity to rebuild their lives in their homeland. As we reflect on the sacrifice of the Tigrayan martyrs and the values they stood for, we are reminded of our collective responsibility to ensure the full implementation of the Pretoria Peace Agreement, specifically the provisions related to the return and reintegration of displaced populations. The legacy of the martyrs calls us to action, urging us to uphold their memory by facilitating the safe return of all displaced Tigrayans. Therefore, we appeal to all relevant authorities and international stakeholders to prioritize the urgent and humane repatriation of the displaced Tigrayans. Let us honor the memory of the martyrs not just in words but in concrete actions that restore the dignity and rights of the affected populations. We stand in solidarity with the displaced Tigrayans, and we urge swift and decisive action to address this humanitarian crisis. Together, we can ensure that #ReturnhomeTigrayIDPs becomes a reality, and that the spirit of unity and justice prevails in Tigray. Thank you for your attention to this critical matter. Warm regards, @BerhanuAsres
