On Monday, Congress passed the TAKE IT DOWN Act, a vital measure to safeguard victims of non-consensual intimate imagery. We’re grateful for the leadership of @SenTedCruz, @SenAmyKlobuchar, @RepMariaSalazar, and @RepDean, whose continuous advocacy helped shepherd this bill through the Senate and House.  We look forward to seeing this important bill signed into law.

Adobe applauds the enactment of H.R. 5887, the Government Service Delivery Improvement Act, into law. We are heartened by the strong bipartisan support this law had in both the House and Senate, as it prioritizes the modernization of government services and makes it easier for citizens to interact with their government. This law builds upon the 21st Century IDEA Act of 2018 to enable a more efficient, digitally responsive, and cost-effective government. We commend Representatives @RepRoKhanna and @RepTimmons, as well as Senators @SenatorHassan and @RogerMarshallMD for their leadership on this law. Adobe commends @SpeakerJohnson, @RepJeffries, House AI Task Force Chair @JayObernolte, Co-chair @tedlieu and all task force members and staff on the Bipartisan House Task Force Report on Artificial Intelligence. This bipartisan report will serve as an important foundation to encourage AI innovation in the U.S. to thrive, and we were glad to share our perspective on the critical issues addressed throughout the report. We are encouraged to see the report include a risk-based approach to AI governance that would promote new innovations, protections for creators against style impersonation in the age of AI and open standards for content provenance, which in the private sector are being spearheaded by the Coalition for Content Provenance and Authenticity (C2PA). We have a unique opportunity now to build on this foundation and set a smart course forward with AI policies that will secure America’s technological leadership.

We applaud the Senate @HSGAC @HSGAC_GOP and Chairman @SenGaryPeters for making a strong commitment to modernizing and improving federal digital services by voting to advance H.R. 5887, the Government Service Delivery Improvement Act. Building on the 21st Century IDEA Act, this measure will ensure the government continues to prioritize modernization of its customer experiences, while also helping to fulfill the requirements for delivering a digital-first public experience. This important step brings the bill one step closer to full passage by the Senate after it passed the House with overwhelming bipartisan support and without objection this spring. Swift enactment would unleash tremendous innovation in federal digital services, and we urge the full Senate to pass this good-government bill and send it to the President’s desk.

Earlier this week, the @housescience advanced important AI legislation like the AI Advancement and Reliability Act of 2024 and CREATE AI Act, which will codify the @NIST led AI Safety Institute Consortium and support a shared national research infrastructure to develop safe and trustworthy AI. Having a shared set of standards and best practices to govern the development and use of AI is essential to ensuring we bring this technology to the world responsibly. These pieces of legislation take important steps to advance research and establish consensus-based standards, including standards around authenticating digital content and tracking its provenance. Adobe applauds @RepAnnaEshoo, @JayObernolte, @RepZoeLofgren, @RepTedLieu, @RepFrankLucas, @RepDonBeyer, @RepMcCaul and their fellow cosponsors for their leadership in crafting bipartisan legislation that will help unleash responsible AI innovation.
