@Mon4Kooyong So why are you lying. Using the word jet proves you are intentionally disingenuous. It’s got a propeller. And she represents the state 2927118% larger than your electorate.

Nothing says ‘there for Aussie battlers’ like accepting a $1m jet from Gina Rinehart because you don't want to have to talk to normal people on normal planes. Another day, another headline about Barnaby Joyce and Pauline Hanson spending their time and taxpayers’ money slavering at the feet of Gina Rinehart and Donald Trump. abc.net.au/news/2026-04-3…

When a giant mining company gives you a private jet worth over 2 million dollars. It's not a gift but a purchase of a politician but her cult are too stupid to see it.

@OtherSideAus Maybe Pocock can convince the ACT to start drilling for their own and then sell it at the rate he wants to sell it for. Sure he can convince SA and Vic to do the same.

@queballing Pretty useless all round if we can’t get the stuff out of the ground. Then again, Australians already suffer from the “resource curse”. Too blessed for our own good.

The Other Side (Australian Vodcast)
Happy Sunday! Today the Australian Communist Party (the Greens) one-man performance artist show, aka “Punters Politics”, is appearing on my feed again — this time banging-on about how if THE GUBBERMINT owned everything, we’d all be better off. Uh huh. And hundreds of his fans applaud in unison in the comments. I think we will lose this battle. People LOVE the simple narratives of the left. They keep voting for them, and I really believe Australia will likely stay left-wing for a long time. For some strange reason (mostly I’d rather just be at the beach enjoying the sunshine) I feel compelled to remind everyone that: The real problem is privatisation INTO MONOPOLY. That’s pointless. Privatisation into a COMPETITIVE multi-player free market ALWAYS improves things because it forces organisations to be responsible to the CLIENT and end-users, thereby leading to innovation and wealth creation. Monopolies - ESPECIALLY when government is the only owner - ALWAYS lead to perverse incentives, value destruction, failure and massive corruption. To all the leftists who want to comment and argue with me, let me just save you the time: you win. I give up. Most people totally agree with the simplistic rubbish you spew and clearly adore this performative clown show. Enjoy the socialist utopian future Australia. (Not sure how you’ll go with no cheap energy and no soldiers to defend you though.) 🫡 youtube.com/shorts/9g5b-tn… @ellymelly @TopherField @polibard @OzraeliAvi @therealrukshan @GraemeHaycroft @GrahamY @spectator @SkyNewsAust @OneNationAus @LibertariansAus @FSUofAustralia @DavePellowe @CampbellNewman @discernableco @punterspolitix @ljayes

Test drove the only fully electric EV work Ute today for my electrical business. My current old Ranger is costing me $100 a week on Diesel and $60 on maintenance cause it’s old. This new ev will cost me $160 a week in repayments and $12 a week in electricity. So $12 a week for a brand new car and no maintenance down time for repairs. I recon I’ll get it.

@TMFScottP @negativevortex_ Sure other than the fact that Norway is not a federation of states. States own them not the federal government. Campaign to remove this and change the federation and constitution to remove this impediment.

@negativevortex_ Only if we try to complicate it. The lessons are large and simple: 1. Charge more for resources 2. Put the proceeds in an SWF We don't have to be identical to Norway to do that.

Norway's Sovereign Wealth Fund was established in 1990. Here's a list of Australian PMs since then who frittered away our natural resources by not charging enough, and who didn't put any of the proceeds aside: Hawke Keating Howard Rudd Gillard Abbott Turnbull Morrison Albanese
Scott Phillips@TMFScottP

A reminder of the scale and benefit of Norway's Sovereign Wealth Fund, which Australia should copy. "...the government [draws down] only its expected real return..." "...making up a quarter of Norway's budget..." "...steady stream of income for when oil and gas run out..."

@TMFScottP @AlboMP @AngusTaylorMP Why. Roads sparser populated areas must add costs. It’s like comparing the gas from australia and Qatar and the use of the revenue. Especially when the states who own the resource use the money to run the state. How big is Qatar vs WA.

@TMFScottP @AlboMP @AngusTaylorMP Sure a land mass of 5 percent of Australia and a very centralised population makes a massive difference in the cost of running the place.

It’s actually sad to me that the Greens are so right and so wrong at the same time, all the time. Take this post as an example. She rightly points out that most people are getting poorer while the rich are getting richer. But then conflates taxing income with taxing wealth – and rather than advocating for income tax cuts, she advocates for more tax. She then rightly points out that the wealthy are buying political power while our kids face unaffordable housing. But then she calls for more tax for more spending that’d drive inflation – rather than balancing supply and demand in the housing market. They’ll never have credibility with mainstream Australia so long as their solution to every problem is more tax for more spend.
Larissa Waters@larissawaters

While you work harder than ever to get ahead, the 1% make money in their sleep and big corporations make massive profits. And it's getting worse. But here’s the kicker: while your wages are taxed heavily, the wealth of the top 1% is not. It's unfair.

The Budget is coming. There will be a lot of spin, a lot of politics and an unknown amount of actual reform. Don't let them tell you that an announcement which is 'claimed' to fix a problem actually will. Or that a small impact is 'at least doing something'. 1/n

Well, this is an awkward smash-up. Hard-charging Nine Radio host Lucy Zelic has given her own media organisation an upper-cut while demanding to know why the Australian Federal Police – or elements within it – last week tipped off her colleagues about Ben Roberts-Smith’s looming arrest. theaustralian.com.au/business/media… Good onya Lucy.

BOOM! South Australia's power prices have plummeted as they near 100% renewables, proving to the world that relying on wind and solar with battery back-up is possible, more reliable and costs people less. THIS is how we avoid the next oil crisis. #EnergyRevolution
