The DRC, Burundi, and allied groups, including FDLR, have once again committed a grave act of violence. A drone strike reportedly hit the University Ebenezer of Minembwe (UEMI), targeting a school. Casualties and damage are still unknown. We condemn attacks on civilians and educational institutions. President Félix Tshisekedi and President Évariste Ndayishimiye must act immediately to stop the violence against innocent Banyamulenge civilians. Those responsible must be held accountable. Justice will prevail. @US_SrAdvisorAF @SecRubio @HouseForeignGOP @HarianaVeras @hrw @UN_HRC @realDonaldTrump @USAmbGVA

I believe you have a low IQ. Your father turned a beautiful country into a safe haven for genocidal groups like the FDLR, who killed over a million people in Rwanda. Now you are saying that the DRC is misrepresented and that they did not speak on behalf of the Congolese people. Do you want the protesters to speak on behalf of the FDLR, which your father supported by opening the borders and allowing them to enter the country with guns, violating international law? The protesters have the right to express their voices to stop the killings of ethnic minority group the Banyamulenge. If your IQ were not low, you would speak on behalf of the Banyamulenge, who fought for your father during civil war called mulele until tyour father achieved victory over the Mai-Mai, the so-called Wazalendo today. We will always speak up and fight for our rights without asking anybody’s permission.

The demonstration held yesterday in Washington, D.C., presented in a way that misrepresents the Congolese position toward the United States, raises serious questions. Those involved did not speak for the Congolese people. Their message echoed narratives aligned with Kigali’s interests and served to tarnish the image and flag of the Democratic Republic of Congo. After more than 30 years of conflict fueled by Rwanda and its support for M23 in eastern Congo, our Nation recognizes the importance of trusted partners. Since 2025, the United States, under President Donald Trump, has taken unprecedented steps to support peace, apply pressure, and place sovereignty at the center of diplomacy. This demonstration cannot be regarded as a true expression of Congolese voices. We must remain vigilant against every attempt to distort this reality and misrepresent our people.

Thousands of Banyamulenge and Tutsi origin from Eastern DRC have gathered in Washington, DC, USA, to protest against the war crimes committed against innocent civilians in the High Plateau of Minembwe and other parts of Eastern DRC. The DRC, Burundi, and their allies, including FDRL and Wazalendo, have been killing innocent Banyamulenge civilians, looting their cattle, and imposing a blockade that prevents access to food and basic necessities such as medicine. Banyamulenge U.S. citizens are urging their U.S. representatives to act and stop the killings of Banyamulenge civilians in the DRC. The humanitarian crisis and suffering must come to an end now. I hope their voices will be heard by the U.S. government and the international community. @US_SrAdvisorAF @SecRubio @HouseForeignGOP @HarianaVeras @hrw @UN_HRC @realDonaldTrump @USAmbGVA @UNHumanRights @united @EU_Commission

Nairobi — Banyamulenge refugees gathered today to peacefully protest and express deep concern over the ongoing violence, killings, and blockade affecting civilians in Minembwe. These actions, reportedly involving the government of the Democratic Republic of the Congo, Burundi, and allied groups, continue to endanger innocent lives. The international community is urged to take immediate notice of the situation in the High Plateaux of Minembwe. There is an urgent need to ensure the protection of Banyamulenge and other Tutsi communities in their homeland. All forms of hatred, division, and ethnic discrimination must come to an end. @US_SrAdvisorAF @SecRubio @HouseForeignGOP @HarianaVeras @hrw @UN_HRC @realDonaldTrump @USAmbGVA

Voices from Exile: When Home Becomes a Battlefield ==•••••======+====•• Today, in the capital of the United Kingdom, members of the Banyamulenge community marched to the Parliament of the United Kingdom to denounce the ongoing killings and blockade affecting their homeland in the Democratic Republic of the Congo. The protesters raised serious concerns about the continued violence against civilians, which they attribute to the Congolese government, allegedly acting in collaboration with regional actors including the government of Burundi and armed groups such as the FDLR and Wazalendo. Reports from the ground indicate that civilians are being subjected to daily attacks, including gunfire and drone strikes. During the time of this protest, a woman identified as Nyirantebuka was critically injured in a drone strike—highlighting the urgency and gravity of the situation. The Banyamulenge community is calling on the international community, human rights organizations, and global leaders to urgently intervene, protect civilians, and ensure accountability for these acts. The continued targeting of civilians and the imposition of blockades may constitute crimes against humanity and demand immediate global attention. @realDonaldTrump @USAmbUN @UNHumanRights @SecRubio @UN @PatrickMuyaya @onduhungirehe @EU_Commission

How can we talk about peace in #Geneva while bombs are raining down on #Minembwe and #Masisi? By targeting localities like Bidegu and Kalingi with kamikaze drones, Kinshasa proves its contempt for diplomatic processes. For the AFC-M23, defending civilians is no longer an option, but a sacred duty in the face of a regime that has chosen ethnic cleansing. @US_SrAdvisorAF @FCDOGovUK @SecRubio @StateDept @AsstSecStateAF @UKParliament @USAmbUN @USAmbKenya @WhiteHouse @HouseForeign @HouseForeignGOP @SuisseAlert @MofaQatar_AR @StateHouseKenya @StateHouseUg @UrugwiroVillage @MAT_GOV_AO @_AfricanUnion @ymahmoudali @Fkaniki @bbisimwa @i_Birere @PatriceNgira @MikeGaha @Aiglekivu003PKM @goma24news

As the Republic of Rwanda and all world commemorates the 32nd anniversary of the Genocide against the Tutsi, the same dangerous ideology continues to spread in the region. The genocide against the Tutsi remains one of the darkest chapters in modern history, where over one million lives were lost in just 100 days. During this commemoration, we are reminded that the government of Juvénal Habyarimana had a plan to exterminate all Tutsi in Rwanda, with intentions that extended beyond its borders to target Tutsi across the region. Today, this same ideology still persists, driven by different actors. It is now associated with the government of Évariste Ndayishimiye and the regime of Félix Tshisekedi. All genocidal plans share common elements: they are fueled by ethnic hatred, propaganda, political instability, and division. In eastern Democratic Republic of the Congo, there are growing concerns about the continued presence and mobilization of extremist groups, including the FDLR, as well as other militias such as Imbonerakure and Wazalendo. These groups are seen as contributing to ongoing violence and instability in the Great Lakes region. I want to say to all those who still hold onto such destructive ideologies: you will not succeed. Any government or group that plans to destroy humanity ultimately fails. We are living in a modern era that calls for a focus on technology, innovation, and sustainable development. It is time to move forward and work toward shared progress and the goals of a better future for all.

Call on President Paul Kagame to Extend Defensive Measures to Protect the Banyamulenge and Tutsi in the Democratic Republic of the Congo Before Atrocities or Genocide Occur. Your Excellency President Paul Kagame, You have set an example for the African continent by leading the rebuilding of Rwanda after one of the darkest periods in human history. In 1994, under your leadership of the Rwandan Patriotic Front (RPF), the Rwandan Genocide was brought to an end, after more than 800,000 people were killed in just 100 days. Since then, you have led a remarkable recovery, transforming Rwanda into a model of resilience and development for many nations across Africa. Today, we respectfully urge you to pay close attention to the warning signs of a growing risk of genocide against the Banyamulenge in Minembwe. The principle of “Never Again,” rooted in the lessons of the Rwandan Genocide, calls for early action when such signs emerge. The situation in Minembwe is rapidly escalating. There are serious concerns about targeted violence, including the killing of civilians—children, women, and the elderly. Reports from the ground also indicate the widespread destruction of livelihoods through the killing of cattle, the cutting of crops such as corn and beans, and the burning of farms, leaving communities without food or means of survival. These patterns raise deep fears of collective punishment and possible extermination. We have called upon international actors, including the United States of America, the United Nations, and human rights organizations, to take action. Many Banyamulenge have fled violence based on their identity, yet they feel abandoned and unheard. The question remains: who will respond to their cry and ensure their protection? Minembwe and surrounding areas continue to face attacks involving heavy weaponry and reported drone strikes carried out by forces linked to the Democratic Republic of the Congo and Burundi governments, as well as their allied groups such as FDLR and Wazalendo, contributing to loss of life and widespread fear. At the same time, hunger and starvation are worsening as access to food and basic needs becomes increasingly limited. Your Excellency, we humbly appeal to your leadership to consider ways to help protect civilians and give a voice to the voiceless people of Minembwe. Even when global opinions differ, we trust in your experience and leadership. We respectfully ask that you consider extending defensive measures aimed at protecting vulnerable populations in Minembwe and beyond, while also contributing to the establishment of sustainable peace for all Congolese communities. The world may debate. But lives are being lost now. History will remember who acted—and who remained silent. Respectfully, Michel Gahakanyi @Paulkagame @igihe @rbarwanda @mamaurwagasabo1 @bbcgahuza

Introducing Rumenamabondo. As long as FDLR is still under Democratic Republic of Congo’s arm, Rwanda will always have defensive measures. America would never allow a terrorist movement like FDLR to be near their borders! So why would Rwanda allow it? Felix Tshisekedi should be held accountable. Rwandan security organs will always protect Rwanda and people in Rwanda no matter the cost. What is that? Well well, Congolese soldiers would love to know it as well! Since they follow every post I write, tell them, this is the smallest version and is in Rwandan soil! The one they can never touch. I call it, Rumenamabondo.
