🕯️ Kwibuka 32 | Remembrance & Reflection 🕯️ Today marks the beginning of #Kwibuka32, a period of remembrance honoring the victims of the 1994 Genocide against the Tutsi in Rwanda. Mahoro Peace Association(MPA) stands in deep solidarity with the people of Rwanda, remembering the lives lost, honoring survivors, and reaffirming the commitment to Never Again. As we remember, we must also reflect with honesty and courage: genocidal ideology did not end in 1994. It continues to manifest today in eastern Congo, where Tutsi/Banyamulenge communities face persecution, hate speech, forced displacement, and violence rooted in the same ideology of dehumanization. On this solemn occasion, we also pay tribute to the men and women who courageously brought an end to the genocide and to those who dedicated themselves to rebuilding Rwanda—restoring dignity, unity, and hope from the ashes of unimaginable tragedy. Remembrance is not only about the past. It is a call for vigilance, truth, and action wherever such ideology persists. 🕯️ We remember. 🕯️ We stand with survivors. 🕯️ We reject genocide—everywhere, always. #Kwibuka32 #NeverAgain #AgainstGenocide
