@NBirenSingh @AShardaDevi Sorry to say but the post should not be granted to someone as personal milestone. It should not be used as a reward to someone for her/his dedication to a party. It's not a post retirement job. Political party should select someone who would voice for its people for 5yrs.

This so called "cautionary notice" is deeply concerning and must not be taken lightly. The Government of Nagaland, Central Forces, and law enforcement agencies should immediately investigate any abnormal activities, prevent intimidation or targeting of any community, and ensure the safety of all citizens regardless of ethnicity. Those responsible for issuing statements that could inflame tensions or threaten public peace must be held accountable under the law. Peace, security, and the rule of law must prevail over fear and vigilantism. #Nagaland #Kukizo @BJP4Nagaland @INCNagaland @BJP4India @Neiphiu_Rio

I am deeply saddened by the tragic loss of the six Naga men whose mortal remains were recovered today. I strongly condemn this heinous act and extend my heartfelt condolences to their families, friends, and loved ones. No family should have to endure such pain and anguish.

The mortal remains of the 6 Naga hostages have been found. Here is my assessment: UNC knew about this, may be even the Baptist World Alliance, CBCNEI, CM Conrad, and CM Rio knew about it. Now this explains why all these individuals and organisations rushed to put pressure on Nagas to release the 14 Kuki detainees. If the 14 Kukis were not released yesterday, the mortal remains of these 6 Nagas would still be kept hidden, and Kuki Inpi would still say they know nothing about it. UNC has probably withheld this information from the Naga public. In short, UNC is complicit of not being transparent to the Naga public. What should be done next? 1. UNC must exert pressure on the government to arrest all those involved in this killing and ensure they are sentenced to life imprisonment. 2. Kuki Inpi Manipur should publicly apologize for claiming that it knew nothing about the six abductees. While in fact, their militants literally massacred them. 3. UNC must deliver justice, or RESIGN. Anything less than this would be a mockery of our people and our rights. As a responsible Naga, I refuse to be party to it. My conscience cannot accept such an insult. We have been taken for a ride for far too long. We have failed you. Rest in Peace!

The poor Nagas that were killed for no fault of theirs deserve justice. And that justice needs to be delivered immediately. At the same time it is incumbent on the community to take responsibility for the actions of the murderers. A message of apology would show some regret , ofcourse unless there is none.

@ukhrultimes Why UNC is demanding to Manipur government now? Why don't they approach Nagaland CM and Meghalaya CM. Under their guidance 14 kukis were released. Have they consulted @YKhemchandSingh before getting a negotiations?

#BREAKINGNEWS: The UNC has further announced a 24-hour total shutdown across Naga areas from 6:00 AM on June 11 to 6:00 AM on June 12, stating that the protest was intended to demand justice for the victims and their families. The UNC appealed to the public to observe the shutdown peacefully. The apex Naga body in #Manipur also stated that the mortal remains of the six victims would not be received until its charter of demands is addressed by the Government of Manipur and the Government of India. Among its demands are the abrogation of the #SuspensionofOperations (SoO) agreement with #Kukimilitant groups, the arrest and prosecution of those allegedly involved in the abduction and killings, and the declaration of the KNF-P as a terrorist organisation. I strongly and unequivocally condemn the brutal killing of six Naga civilians. This senseless act of violence is deeply disturbing and wholly unacceptable. What makes this tragedy even more heartbreaking is that it occurred despite the goodwill and sincere efforts extended by the United Naga Council (UNC) to create an atmosphere conducive to dialogue, reconciliation, and peaceful engagement. A gesture intended to build trust and foster understanding has instead been met with violence, resulting in the loss of innocent lives and immense suffering for their families and communities. I extend my deepest condolences to the bereaved families and stand in solidarity with all those affected by this tragedy. There can be no justification for the taking of innocent lives. At this difficult moment, I urge all concerned to exercise restraint and ensure that those responsible are brought to justice. Lasting peace can only be built through mutual respect, dialogue, and a commitment to resolving differences through peaceful means rather than violence. May the departed souls rest in peace, and may their families find strength and comfort in this hour of grief.

Within hours of many incidents occurring in Kuki-dominated areas, fingers are often pointed toward Naga organizations, Naga villages, or Naga armed groups. Statements are issued, accusations are amplified through social media, and a narrative is carefully constructed. Yet when the public asks for evidence, very little is produced beyond suspicion, speculation, and political rhetoric. The recent rebuttal statements issued by both the NSCN/GPRN and the Zeliangrong United Front (ZUF) reflect what many Naga organizations view as a sustained campaign of slander, misinformation, and politically motivated propaganda by certain Kuki civil society organizations. After years of being routinely blamed for incidents without publicly presented evidence, there is a growing sense among Nagas that such accusations have become a convenient tool for deflecting attention from internal conflicts and failures. Both organizations categorically rejected any link to the Leibol Khullen incident and challenged their accusers to produce credible, verifiable evidence instead of relying on emotion-driven narratives and unsubstantiated allegations. In doing so, they exposed a fundamental principle that appears increasingly absent from public discourse: accusations must be backed by facts, not assumptions. The repeated effort to portray Nagas as the default culprit in every crisis in Ukhrul,Kamjong, Kangpokpi or Noney serves neither truth nor peace. It only deepens mistrust between communities that have lived side by side for generations. Whether one agrees with these organizations or not, their challenge raises an important question: where is the evidence?
