My candid advice to @PeterObi and @KwankwasoRM is to leave ADC and join another political party. With the body language of the hierarchy of ADC, there is nothing that will make Obi the party flagbearer. If it happens, then it will be a complete miracle. In 2031, when it will be the turn of the North, we the Obidients will offer Kwankwaso our full support. Obi staying in ADC means two things: he will either not be on the ballot or will become a running mate.

“Let’s copy Argentina” — bankrupt “Why can’t we be like Egypt?”—bankrupt I hope we all learn that Nigerian problems will require Nigerian solutions, no two scenarios are exactly the same. Avoid people like Peter Obi, he doesn’t have a clue.

During a productive phone call between former Nigerian Vice President @atiku and a senior, influential member of Congress, the Congressman extended a personal invitation for the former Vice President to visit Congress as his guest. Vice President Atiku graciously accepted but made it clear that he is currently needed at home in Nigeria, but will ensure that he visits Congress soon. That response reflects a statesman shaped by experience, guided by discipline, and grounded in the temperament required for leadership, qualities often associated with America’s most respected Presidents. This stands in contrast to recent remarks by the current Nigerian President, H.E. Bola #Tinubu (@officialABAT). In a video released yesterday, he appears to blame this firm for his challenges, refers to his fellow statesman @atiku as an enemy, and suggests that legitimate concerns about his government’s failure to protect ordinary Nigerians are part of an effort to remove him from power. President Tinubu’s own characterization of himself as a “stubborn politician unwilling to step aside” reinforces growing concerns that he is seeking to remain in power by undemocratic and illegal means. While former Vice President #Atiku has demonstrated that he is a leader with whom the United States Congress and President @realDonaldTrump can build a productive relationship that benefits both of our countries, the current #Nigerian President is, regrettably, showing signs of political desperation and clinging to power at all costs, even when it harms the interests and well-being of the Nigerian people. @HouseForeignGOP @HouseForeign @SenateForeign @SFRCdems @SecRubio @StateDept @AsstSecStateAF @CNNAfrica @BBCAfrica @Reuter @AFP @AJEnglish

Great Oracle Extraordinary & Plenipotentiary.
By kicking the ball back to the FHC, the SC has asked it to determine the substantive issues: 1. Whether or not the change of leadership of ADC was in accordance with the ADC Constitution; 2. Determination of the injunctive reliefs restraining Mark from functioning as Chairman

The reported attempt by the current @officialABAT Nigerian government to disrupt the electoral process of the opposition party, the African Democratic Congress (@ADCNig), has failed. The Nigerian Supreme Court has upheld the rule of law and affirmed the leadership of @SenDavidABMark. Dr. Von Batten will brief key members of Congress tomorrow, and today’s ruling will be discussed. We remain concerned by the video referenced below, which reportedly shows the Nigerian President’s Chief of Staff (@femigbaja), reportedly a U.S. citizen, encouraging and signaling efforts by the current government to interfere with the lawful political process of an opposition party. We are reviewing whether this conduct, along with related actions, may implicate provisions of the Foreign Corrupt Practices Act and the Logan Act (18 U.S.C. § 953). U.S. citizens are legally bound by U.S. law, even while serving in a foreign government’s cabinet or staff. We invite individuals with direct knowledge or credible documentation to submit records or witness testimony regarding any alleged complicity in the murder of Nigerian citizens in Northern Nigeria, or efforts to undermine the integrity of the upcoming Nigerian election. Submissions should be detailed, verifiable, and, where possible, supported by documentary evidence. All information will be handled with appropriate discretion. Please send materials to Renee.hamilton@montagueyork.com for review and appropriate follow-up. @WhiteHouse @HouseForeignGOP @HouseForeign @SFRCdems @SecRubio @StateDept @AsstSecStateAF @SenateForeign @NGRPresident @HouseNGR @NGRSenate @CNNAfrica @BBCAfrica @Reuters @Atiku  @AFP @ForeignPolicy @inecnigeria @SenTedCruz @RepBrianMast

House Republicans (@HouseGOP) have instructed us to keep them actively informed regarding election integrity concerns, as well as allegations that certain senior officials within the current Nigerian government may be complicit in violence and targeted attacks against #Christian communities in Northern Nigeria. Nigeria is a sovereign nation. However, President @realDonaldTrump and Congressional Republicans have made clear that they will not remain passive in the face of widespread reports of violence against Christian populations, nor ignore circumstances in which the current Nigerian government appears unwilling or unable to protect its citizens while potentially circumventing the will of the electorate to retain power. Additionally, a circulating video, the authenticity and full context of which remain under review, of Nigerian President #Tinubu’s Chief of Staff, (@femigbaja), allegedly inciting disruption of Nigerian opposition party (@ADCNig) activities, is concerning, particularly as the alleged disruption is reportedly being cited by Nigeria’s electoral authorities (@inecnigeria) as justification for invalidating opposition party leadership. This raises further concerns regarding potential electoral interference. There are also claims that Mr. Gbajabiamila holds U.S. citizenship and that his alleged statements could be construed as incitement affecting U.S. interests. @realDonaldTrump @WhiteHouse @HouseForeignGOP @HouseForeign @SFRCdems @SecRubio @StateDept @AsstSecStateAF @SenateForeign @SFRCdems @atiku @NGRPresident @HouseNGR @NGRSenate @CNNAfrica @BBCAfrica @Reuters @Atiku @officialABAT @AFP @ForeignPolicy @inecnigeria

Obi to Tinubu: Borrowing for consumption not only leprosy — it’s cancer Peter Obi has criticised President Bola Tinubu over his recent comments defending government borrowing, warning that loans used for consumption could harm the country’s future. Tinubu had said on Wednesday during a meeting with Plateau leaders at the State House that his administration would continue to borrow when necessary. “If we have to borrow, we borrow. Borrowing is not leprosy, we just have to work hard to be able to pay for it,” the president said. Reacting in a statement on Thursday, @PeterObi disagreed with the president’s position, arguing that borrowing becomes dangerous when it is not tied to productive investments. thecable.ng/obi-to-tinubu-…

APC reps were passing a bill, no soft copies, no hard copies, only 2 copies, one with Kalu and the other with the APC rep. An amendment to the ELECTORAL ACT! And there was not even a single copy? Thank God for Honorable Dasuki.
