@loyalmoses People. Start writing representatives and make it clear that these restrictions are useless and harmful to the maker community. As a RepRap builder, Smoothieboard dev and maker. This can hit a lot of areas for me. I have no need to print a gun but I do need to make things.

People keep telling me you cant make Jeep parts in the US anymore. Good thing our forefathers didnt express weak ideas like that, they built some of the finest equipment you can still buy.

@stlDenise3D I much preferred the more "informal" reprap festivals and shows. The first MRRF was great...more a gathering of people. By the time MRRF 2015 came about it was becoming more commercial and polished. Now...Reprap is being taken from the names and it's about "3d printers".

@RobosproutLLC This is true. I was just feeling disappointed today because at 3DP events we all have a common interest that binds us and that makes us friends even if we haven’t met. Or maybe 3PD people are just more friendly?

Geez, the hierarchy of creators is insane. I’m a small fish in the overall maker pond.

@xpguru3dprint @Smoothieware So much better. I have been using it for a few years. The image for the pi3, IIRC, I built to be able to use USB sticks too. It should autorecognize. If you need help with anything let me know. Aside from wolfmanjm I have probably used it more than anyone.

@RobosproutLLC @Smoothieware Tried Smoopi on a Pi touchscreen—makes pronterface feel ancient 😎. Macros and G-code previews bumped up my workflow big time.

Working to use Pinion with Kicad to export an interactive pinout for the Smoothieboard V2 prime but it seems to require Kicad 6 to run. Which I do have on my Windows laptop...but if you use windows it does not render as high of quality as it would using with linux. Dilemmas.
