@cremieuxrecueil This usually means you "didn't spend enough compute." that's why people create these loops where Claude verifies its own work. What happens when Claude does something that it then obviously sees is wrong means it stopped too early.

A major reason I don't trust Claude to do its own statistical analyses yet is because sometimes you can just ask it 'Is that right? Seems wrong.' and then everything it's written so far changes.
It's not very thorough and will tell you and update to obviously erroneous things.

Again, this is something that is interesting to you, and maybe not to this person. Some people spend their time on other hobbies that have no interest to you. It's actually completely OK to be utterly clueless about how to decorate a room. It's not that critical of a skill. The whole anti AI thing is wanting to tell people what they can and can't do. They're not allowed to use AI. They need to learn how to decorate rooms. Just accept that some people are different from you.

When I ask ChatGPT to make an image for me and it goes wrong, I often ask it why that was, and it makes great points. It explains all the ways the image should be different.
But then when I tell it to implement its own suggestions, it again fails. ChatGPT’s own comment:

My favorite thing about this rebuttal is that his rough estimates matched the results of the paper he doesn’t like, and he had to estimate 2% of the heat impacts land temperature to arrive at the conclusion that it only accounts for 2%.

This is a fresh session. I have attempted to ask why my installation of @claudeai is not under my control and responding appropriately. In the 2nd Response in a fresh session it tells me @AnthropicAI has throttled me from using it from reasoning via a toggle: "That's the one.
