My theory/analysis of the US build-up in Iran: - Strike likely any time from tomorrow onwards - Probably on a weekend as @Osinttechnical rightly suggests any other time would have a major impact on markets - US CENTCOM Commander seeing the Israelis in the next 12hrs - Abe Lincoln CSG should be within range of Iran now, but definitely will be within 24hrs - Israelis and Qataris on high defensive alert - Airlines in Europe starting to cancel flights to the region again this evening - 24 KC-135 and KC-46 tankers at 2 bases in the area - Assets in UK that could be surged forward if required and wouldn't need long to move (F-35s at Lakenheath, more KC-135s at Mildenhall) - Potential for a mainland US launch of bombers (like MIDNIGHT HAMMER but with key differences - see below*) - Potential Israeli Air Force assistance with strikes if they deem the plan has a good chance of toppling the Iranian terrorism-sponsoring regime (up to 48 F-35I plus dozens of F-16I, F-15I and other jets) (notably Israel has AWACS and ISR platforms in the area, something the US hasn't moved in yet (if you ignore the E-2s and EA-18Gs in CSG-3) - Up to 8 RAF Typhoons in Qatar/Saudi for defensive Ops, plus more at Akrotiri in case of a need to assist with air defence for allies in the area again *Note about a bomber mission: - B-2s could be used again, especially if air defences expected to be an issue - 4 tankers flew to Moron AB in Spain this week which could be for a refuel point, and 4 more are at Prince Sultan in Saudi Arabia which could fly up to the Mediterranean - MIDNIGHT HAMMER required refuelling of the B-2s off 1) US East Coast, 2) near entry to Mediterranean and 3) near Cyprus/Israel - the difference this time is that they're unlikely to be carrying a heavy payload of GBU-57 MOPs, so the fuel burn is likely to be lower and refuelling needs likely reduced - Currently rumours of a planned bomber deployment to the Pacific which may occur at the same time to divert attention again (like they did last time!) The number of tankers at Al-Udeid (20 or more) suggests an expectation for possible sustained operations over several days for the 37 F-15Es in Jordan. There also remain a number of C-130J and C-17A aircraft at various Middle East bases presently which I would anticipate either departing before strikes begin or being on standby to evacuate if required. Anyways that's my thoughts on it! @MATA_osint @FaytuksNetwork @Faytuks @UKDefJournal @vcdgf555 @steffanwatkins @ArmchairAdml @no_itsmyturn @Schizointel @sentdefender

Excerpt from an insightful oped by Admiral James Stavridis @stavridisj on Trump’s potential military options in Iran: “If the president chose to use kinetic capability from the deck of the carrier, he could conduct precise strikes against Iranian air defenses using both bombs and electronic warfare. The F/A-18 Hornets aboard the carrier could also strike high-value leadership targets (including the mullahs); command-and-control facilities of the Revolutionary Guards and the conventional military; the logistics supply chains of both the military and the civilian police — including the ironically named “morality police”; or critical elements of the Islamic Republic’s energy infrastructure such as maritime installations, refineries, and port facilities. Operating alongside the carrier and its potent air wing would be US Navy surface ships — primarily cruisers and destroyers — equipped with long-range Tomahawk land-attack missiles. These cruise missiles, with a 1,500-mile range, are highly precise and could be used against the same targets. They would likely be launched before manned aircraft to decimate Iranian air defenses. These strikes would almost certainly be conducted alongside US Air Force operations from US bases in the region. Reportedly, at least one squadron of F-15 Strike Eagle aircraft has already arrived in Jordan, and additional support — aerial refuelers and cargo aircraft — could deploy to the logistics support base at Diego Garcia in the Indian Ocean. Air strikes from Al Udeid Air Base in Doha, Qatar, are also likely, although several Gulf Arab states may be reluctant to permit strikes to launch from their soil. In addition to US forces, the United States has an asset in the region that does not exist in the Caribbean against Venezuela: Israel. Israel provides the largest and best-defended set of airfields in the region. The Israel Defense Forces would likely participate in any major mission, particularly one directed at decapitating Supreme Leader Ali Khamenei. The US and Israel, operating as an integrated joint force, have an enormous array of kinetic options to deploy against Iran. There are also non-kinetic options the Trump administration could select. At the top of the list is offensive cyber activity, again potentially conducted in concert with Israel’s cyberwarriors. Targets could include Iran’s energy sector, consumer supply chains, military command-and-control nodes, police and Revolutionary Guard facilities, telephone systems, and military production infrastructure — notably facilities that produce drones and ballistic missiles. Information operations would likely be part of these cyber efforts. This could include taking control of Iran’s internet infrastructure — blocking regime use while enabling the opposition to better coordinate and illuminate the atrocities that are almost certainly occurring. Such actions would support the dissenters and help mobilize the population, further weakening the rotten theocracy that leads Iran.” bloomberg.com/opinion/articl…

A lot of people have asked for a comprehensive preparedness list for the winter storm. Feel free to bookmark this or share with friends, stay safe out there: ⛽️ Gas up every car (and top off any cans if you’ve got them) 💵 Pull cash — assume card readers go down 🔋 Charge everything: phones, battery packs, laptops, tool batteries 🔌 Make one “charging pile” with all cords so nobody’s hunting 🔦 Headlamp for every adult + flashlight for every kid 🏮 Lanterns for the main rooms (no candles… kids + candles = nope) 🔋 Fresh batteries in a big ziplock — label it 🏠 Pick ONE “warm room” right now (small room, easiest to heat) 🚪 Shut doors to the rest of the house 🧣 Blankets over windows at night + towels at the bottom of doors 🛏️ Drag mattresses/pads in there if you need to 🧤 Lay out clothes like it’s ski season: base layer + hoodie + coat + hat + thick socks 👟 Slippers/shoes indoors — cold floors will wreck you 🧦 Dry clothes only — damp socks = change them immediately ⚠️ Generator = OUTSIDE only (not garage, not “cracked door,” OUTSIDE) 🚨 CO alarms working on every floor, especially near bedrooms 🔌 Use outdoor-rated extension cords only — don’t run cords under rugs 🙅‍♂️ Don’t do any “dryer plug” stuff — not worth dying for ⛽️ Fuel stays OUTSIDE the house ✅ If you’re using a heater: only indoor-rated 🔥 Keep it away from blankets/curtains/kids 🌬️ Crack a window just a tiny bit 😴🚫 Never sleep with a flame heater on 💧 Water: plan 1 gallon per person per day minimum 🪣 Fill bathtub/buckets for flushing/washing 🚱 On a well? Assume ZERO water once power is out 🔧 Find the main water shutoff now (don’t wait) 🚰 When it’s brutally cold: let faucets drip (if water’s still on) 🧊 Open sink cabinets on outside walls 🧣 Wrap exposed pipes / cover outdoor spigots 🧯 Disconnect hoses 🥫 Food: buy 7 days of no-cook / easy stuff 🍞 Stock basics: PB, tuna, crackers, granola, soup, jerky, shelf milk, cereal 🗝️ Manual can opener 🍽️ Paper plates if you don’t want to burn water on dishes ❄️ Fridge/freezer: open it as little as possible ✅ Eat fridge first, then freezer, then pantry 💊 Refill prescriptions 🤒 Kids fever meds + thermometer + first-aid kit ⚡️ CPAP/nebulizer/anything critical: have a power plan 🧼 Baby wipes + sanitizer + trash bags 🪣 No water? Bucket toilet plan (bucket + bags + kitty litter) 🎲 Make a “kid station” in the warm room: books, coloring, cards, board games 🎬 Download movies ahead of time (airplane mode) 🚫 Clear rules: no touching heaters, no cords, no generator zone 🌙🏮 Lantern by hallway/bathroom at night 🧸 One comfort thing per kid in the warm room 📱 Phones: low power mode + dim screen 📝 Write down important numbers on paper 📞 Pick a check-in time with family/friends (morning + evening) 🚗❄️ Don’t drive unless you have to — ice will humble you fast 🧰 Car kit: blanket, flashlight, snacks, water, jumper pack 🚘⚠️ If you run the car for heat: clear the tailpipe and never in an enclosed space ✅ Every morning: quick safety sweep 🚨🔥 CO alarms good, heater clear, cords not hot 🌡️💧 Watch for leaks when things thaw 🤝 Check on neighbors if you can 🗑️ Toss sketchy food when power comes back ⚡️ Bring the house back online slowly (don’t flip everything at once)

🚨 URGENT WEATHER ALERT: THIS IS THE REAL DEAL 🚨 Folks, I cannot stress this enough: Please prepare now! We have all day today (Friday) and most of the daylight hours on Saturday to get ready. After that, the window closes. This is not a "bread and milk" situation—this is a major to extreme ice threat. We are looking at a setup we haven't seen in at least 10 years, and if the higher ice totals hold, we could be looking at something we haven't dealt with in 20 years (think back to the 2002 ice storm). Here is the reality of what is coming this weekend (Sat PM - Monday): 🧊 THE ICE THREAT Look at the maps attached. That pink and purple area isn't just "snow." It is freezing rain and heavy ice accumulation. The forecast shows potential for 0.25" to 0.75" of ice. What that means: At 0.25", tree limbs snap and power lines go down. At 0.50"+ (which is possible in the darker purple bands), we are talking about widespread, long-duration power outages and impassable roads. 🛑 IMPACTS: WHAT TO EXPECT POWER OUTAGES: This is my biggest concern. With ice accumulating on trees and lines, outages are likely. If you are in the high-risk zones, you need to be prepared to be without power for days, not hours. TRAVEL: By Saturday night, travel will likely become dangerous to impossible. Do not plan to be on the roads Sunday. If you get stuck in an ice storm, emergency crews may not be able to reach you quickly. TREES: The weight of the ice will bring down weak limbs and trees. If you have large trees over your driveway or home, be hyper-aware. ⏳ YOUR ACTION PLAN (DO THIS NOW): You have until Saturday evening to get this done. Do not wait. 1. CHARGE EVERYTHING: Phones, laptops, tablets, and power banks. Do it now while the grid is 100%. 2. HEAT: If the power goes out, how will you stay warm? Have blankets ready. If you have a fireplace, get wood. **NEVER** use a generator or grill indoors—carbon monoxide is a silent killer. 3. FOOD/WATER: You don't need to panic buy, but have enough food that doesn't require cooking (sandwiches, dry goods) and water for 72 hours. 4. MEDICAL: If you need prescriptions or oxygen, secure it today. The Bottom Line: This isn't a "fun snow day." This is a damaging ice event. We have been lucky for a long time, but the data is showing a setup that demands respect and preparation. Use today and tomorrow to prepare your family and check on your elderly neighbors, then stay off the roads once this starts. Stay safe, stay warm, and stay tuned for updates. #cltwx #ncwx #scwx #wcnc #iceOMG #icestorm #wxbrad

Today, amidst the Iranian regime’s brutal crackdown on peaceful protestors and its complete shutdown of internet access to conceal its abuses against the Iranian people, the U.S. Department of the Treasury’s Office of Foreign Assets Control is increasing pressure on the regime’s shadow fleet. OFAC is targeting nine shadow fleet vessels and their respective owners or management firms that have collectively transported hundreds of millions of dollars’ worth of Iranian oil and petroleum products to foreign markets.

NEW 🔴 Israel’s military has placed its Air Force and intelligence units on heightened alert as preparations near completion for a possible U.S. strike on Iran, Israeli sources say. Jerusalem officials estimate Washington may be considering a large‑scale assault designed to set off a chain reaction that could destabilize Tehran’s leadership, according to military journalist Amos Harel.
