Protein bars. Pre workout. Recovery shakes. The supplement industry exists because real food feels too boring to sell. Eat meat. Sleep 8 hours. Lift heavy. That is the stack.

@paulb3rd never. the downside risk of slightly too much protein is essentially zero. the downside of consistently under-eating it is losing the muscle you trained for

Zinc is essential for a healthy body, so it’s important to be aware of the most common symptoms of deficiency. These symptoms include: -Loss of smell -Susceptibility to infection -Hair loss or thinning hair -Diarrhea -Dermatitis -Mental irritability or fatigue If you suspect a zinc deficiency after experiencing any of the above, consider upping your intake of zinc-rich foods!

@ryanhungateCTO When I was competing and didn’t get the start command due to my feet not being flat. I bought my lifting shoes; ever since… I never get held up. With my other shoes at my afternoon gym; my feet slip into position. With those shoes on… once my feet are down; they are not moving.

The only sleep supplements worth taking: - Magnesium glycinate (calms the nervous system, promotes deep sleep) - L-theanine (quiets mental chatter without making you groggy) - Tart cherry juice (one of the only whole food sources of natural melatonin) That's the stack. No dependency. No grogginess. No prescription needed.

I’m 58. Never touched medications for cholesterol. I eat only steak, ground beef, eggs and fish. Never felt better and my blood work is amazing. Yet 99% of the residents in my assisted living homes who have a history of stroke, heart disease and/or dementia move into my homes are on statins and lots of other pharmaceuticals.

The answer to your problems is usually the easiest, most obvious answer. You’re probably fat because you eat too much, not because of your hormones. You’re probably tired because your sleep sucks, not because you need an aromasin. You’re probably small because you don’t train hard enough, not because you’re using the wrong exercises. It’s not always the case. But you’ll be right more often than not if you operate as such.
