@chariotdefense is powering the robotic revolution on the battlefield. We've been busy building, testing, and delivering as the demand for power at the edge continues to grow. I'm excited to partner with @espricewright, @rmcentush and the @a16z American Dynamism team as we announce our Series A funding. With this capital, we are accelerating our production and investing in next-gen technology to meet the demands of our warfighters.
Chariot Defense@chariotdefense

Chariot just raised our $34M Series A, led by @a16z , to scale command of power on the battlefield. With this round, bringing total funding to $41M, we are: - Boosting production of our Amphora 24 and Amphora 400 products - Initiating an operating system for command, control & distribution of power - Expanding the team that will define this next-generation infrastructure The round was joined by existing investors @generalcatalyst and @xyz_vc with other new participation by @DCVC, LMNT Ventures, @MarlinspikeVC, Overmatch Ventures, @ShieldCapVC , @ensemblevc, and Trenches Capital. In under a year, Chariot moved from stealth to revenue and from prototype to force-on-force exercises. Amphora systems are now supporting U.S. Army units, DIU, and commercial customers who recognize that resilient power underpins autonomy, sensing, strike, and C2. The future of defense will be shaped by energy, speed, and adaptability. We are defining the power backbone that makes that future possible and ensure power is never the limiting factor in modern warfare. If you are building or supporting technologies at the edge of high-voltage systems, advanced batteries, embedded software, or distributed architectures — join us.

The war machine is going electric, and our mobile power infra isn’t ready. Battlefield load is spiky, unpredictable, and unforgiving. Drones, sensors, EW, compute — all of it runs on electricity that has to be both ruggedly simple and intelligently managed. No power, no fight. @AdamWarmoth and his team are uniquely suited to build the high-voltage power systems that our armed forces need to make everything else work. We’re proud to back them. More on our investment below 👇

We’re excited to lead @chariotdefense's Series A as they work to become the military's power prime. Electricity demand on the battlefield is becoming jagged and unforgiving as systems like drones, electronic warfare, and edge compute dominate. Legacy generators are optimized for steady-state output and don’t make sense for this world. Chariot integrates high-voltage batteries, advanced solid-state power electronics, and orchestration software into mobile systems purpose-built for unpredictable conditions. Founder and CEO @AdamWarmoth is obsessed with making a product that actually works in the field. Chariot is at the intersection of advanced energy systems and real-world military operations, and the team has experience at Anduril, Tesla, Archer, and the U.S. Army. Chariot is building the electrical backbone for platforms in the electro-industrial stack, and we’re pleased to be partnered with them. By @espricewright and @rmcentush

We spoke with @AdamWarmoth (Founder & CEO @chariotdefense) about powering military tech: "We constantly ran into power as a limiting factor in expeditionary contested environments. DoD is stuck with low-voltage lead-acid batteries, massive generators." "At Chariot, we're building advanced power systems for the next-gen military tech."

@AdamWarmoth on the big stage at @reindsummit announcing @chariotdefense! Modern military vehicles lack the power infrastructure for today's advanced weapons and AI systems. Chariot is building the high-voltage architecture that enables directed energy weapons, electronic warfare, and edge compute to operate silently anywhere.

The General Catalyst team has been an incredible partner as we have built and fielded technologies - grateful to be a part of the Global Resilience team!
General Catalyst@generalcatalyst

We believe the next warfighting platform won't be about speed, armor, or autonomy alone: it will be about power. That's why we're leading @chariotdefense's seed round as they address a critical gap between the power demands of modern warfare and what legacy vehicles were designed to provide. Modern defense systems struggle to reliably operate on legacy power systems designed decades ago. When they do, traditional combustion engines make sound and give off heat that is easily detectable by adversaries. Chariot is building one of the first high-voltage hybrid-electric tactical vehicle architectures designed specifically to power, manage, and integrate these systems at scale, and to do so without a trace. Our conviction in Chariot reflects our commitment to backing seed-stage founders who build for global resilience, bridging breakthrough technologies with real-world operational constraints. We support founders like @AdamWarmoth who see potential where others see only obstacles. Welcome to the GC Famiglia!
