The Railway Board Chairman informed me in a telephonic conversation that the brand new coaches are being readied and the target is to start the service latest by the end of July. A legal battle of 9 years has finally yielded results and can become a benchmark for many Chartered Accountants . CA Abhishek Kamalkishor Malpani (Chatrapati Sambhaji Nagar) has WON the High Court battle against his client for unpaid professional fees. In Criminal Revision Application No. 333 of 2025 before the Hon’ble High Court of Bombay, the Revision filed by the client was dismissed today. ✅ The client had issued a cheque of ₹2,50,000 towards audit & professional fees. ✅ Cheque dishonoured with remark “Account Blocked”. ✅ Trial Court & Sessions Court had already convicted the client under Section 138 Negotailble Instruments Act. ✅ High Court upheld the conviction, reiterating that: Blank signed cheque given by client is valid. “Account Blocked” is a valid ground for dishonour under Section 138. Professional fees constitute a legally enforceable debt. The Hon’ble Court relied on landmark Supreme Court judgments and clearly held that clients cannot misuse blank cheques or take technical pleas to escape liability.
