@chhopsky I actually don't agree with her post at all. Writing it elsewhere or waiting for the moment to pass leads to depression, lonliness and communication breakdown. It's bad advice, that prioritizes peace over connection.

with no malice whatsoever to OP, some of you need to learn that more words aren't going to solve your problem if you have something you need to express, write it down somewhere, get it out, then don't send it. tell yourself you can send it later and wait for the moment to pass by doing this and revisiting it later, i learned that everything i wanted to say would have only made things worse, overloaded the other person, and caused them to pull away or not even respond to all the things anyway sometimes, some of the things i wanted to say in the heat of the moment became useful later and i was able to go back and grab them! that was good. a lot of it never got said and the things i did get back after that moment showed me they didn't need to be said. just because you feel it, doesn't mean it's real, and it doesn't mean anyone else needs to hear it. find someone who loves you and talk to them about the things you want to say to this person, get them straight in your own head. it will help deal with the urgency i had disorganized attachment, which features both avoidant AND anxious. for possibly the first time in my life, i experience secure attachment now. the process of getting here was highly unpleasant, but you have to understand that you cannot control other people's behaviour, only your own no-one is going to manage your emotions for you. you have to do it yourself

@MrFisti @LevIxne @chhopsky Right. It means write it down for yourself to organize your thoughts and decide if you still think it's worth writing or saying to someone else before just launching into the deep end. Didn't seem too difficult to grasp.

@LevIxne @chhopsky If I'm understanding OP right, I think you're misconstruing what they're saying The message doesn't read to me as "don't write so much", it reads as "don't let yourself spiral and keep writing", eg sometimes you need to disengage and take a second to reframe what you're thinking

@chhopsky I'm struggling with the idea you genuinely wrote all that with your underlying message being "Don't write so much" especially when you have no idea what the person actually wrote

@TFG_Football @BuckyBrooks Thank you for the "Literally everyone did" quote bud. This is why "draft analysis" from youtubers is basically the wild west at this point. Scamming people out of dollars and acting like you know everything lmao. Have a good one

FYI: It’s unfair to judge a team’s draft class based on Consensus Boards. Without a thorough understanding of the team’s plans for the team, players, or scheme, it’s impossible to suggest a pick is good or bad. Teams build their draft boards based on grades that project how a player will perform or contribute within their system, the Consensus Boards and media scouting reports lack that context. Without a clear understanding of the “why” behind each pick, critics are missing some key tidbits that are critical to a full assessment. In the NFL, it takes 2-3 years to determine whether players can play or not. That’s why we should reserve judgment until we see how the players perform and how teams utilize their personnel. That’s not fun, but none of us are privy to the 32 draft boards or the schematic or personnel discussions prior to the draft. We can debate who was selected and where they were picked, but until we understand the why and see how it plays out between the lines, we are still playing the guessing game.

The Jags, Texans and 49ers account for like 8 of the biggest dozen reaches in the draft. Kinda fascinating to see teams deviate from the consensus board this far again.

@kingsyz15 @BuckyBrooks Depends on which ones - it's not tough to backtest over and over because only so many players get picked annually. RSQ won't be that strong to begin with but you can probably quite easily see which teams miss at a higher frequency than others.

@BHosslers @BuckyBrooks A consensus is only as good as those in it. I would rather use nfl scouts consensus over media consensus.

@ikenyonFB I don't think ADP is the right analogy and maybe there isn't one. ADP is formed by drafts occurring over and over again, eventually thousands and ten thousands of them. It's maybe more like your own player rankings vs the averaged out rankings from a few good content sites.

The consensus board discourse has gone off the rails. Take it as what it is, it's ADP. If you love a guy who is 200th in ADP, but you have pick 80, trade down. If you miss out on him, let someone else make the reach and take your additional asset. It's not that hard.

@BuckyBrooks The slow people say stuff like "But the team made the playoffs" without understanding you can win games despite a thing, not because of a thing.

@BuckyBrooks Sort of right, mainly wrong. If you address a team need but reach for a player multiple rounds before consensus ranking, there's probably a flaw in there. If you do it repeatedly ... It's also not tough to go back in time, aggregate reaches, and mark hits vs misses.

@ikenyonFB "Teams should operate off their own rankings, but teams should operate off everyone else's rankings..." No. The mistake is thinking the 31 other teams all match the consensus. That might not be true (it's likely not).

People can diss the consensus board all they want, and teams *should* operate off their own rankings. BUT… 1. If youre taking the 240th guy on the consensus board at 100. You should trade down and take him. It’s just bad resource management. 2. If your board consistently has guys ranked 100 slots off consensus, maybe your board sucks.

@ikenyonFB Where does consensus board come from? It sure doesn't come from 32 NFL teams. So how the fuck do you know that the team at 101 won't take ur guy? Are you dumb, stupid or dumb?

@aromack71 Would love that media outlet to explain what they view as that. I think they base it on combine invites and top all-star games. Reality is the games do miss players and the combine was voted on so early. Invite list would look way different if done 2-3 months later

@TheOGfantasy Sounds like they were desperately trying to trade out of the pick so not sure how much that translates into a victory lap tbh. x.com/adamlevitan/st…
Adam Levitan@adamlevitan

GM John Schneider confirmed @Seahawks were trying to trade out of 32. “We thought we had some opportunities for a minute. They fell apart. A lot of trading going on right ahead of us.” Thought he might go CB there with Jermod McCoy, Avieon Terrell, Colton Hood were all on board. But suspect SEA had a bigger drop-off on their board from Jadarian Price to other RB options, vs. the later CB options.

The Jadarian Price haters and faders are in complete shambles and utter disarray. Seattle had 4 total picks in the NFL Draft and stuck and picked at 32 and took Price. He has a clear path to fantasy viability out the gate. FYI - Seattle is pretty good at evaluating talent.
