@GWRHelp
One for your guys to chase up.
Easy to find comments knocking the railway; harder to find ones like this….

English

@timbo_great @LNER Nothing can beat a deltic. 😁Although Waterloo to Southampton on a 4REP at full pelt was a reasonable substitute when we moved to the coast
English

@LNER Looks good - I like the phrase 'Design Freeze'. (But it won't beat 10 Mk 2s behind a Deltic). Seriously, I'd like to see it in the flesh but it does 'look good'. (I bet we don't get them on the LCN services though)
English

We’re proud to reveal images of our new fleet – ‘Serenza’ 🚆
The 10 state-of-the-art Class 897 trains will be the first new fleet introduced as part of GBR, and will join our existing Azuma trains in the coming years.

@Captain_Deltic @DuncanStott I can see Mr Speaker being concerned that once again the media is aware before the HoC
English

@DuncanStott The announcement is under embargo for 22.30 this evening. Daft really if FT has been briefed.
English

I can understand phasing Crewe to Manchester last. But Birmingham to Crewe has all the approvals it needs for a very sensible route - they should be getting on with that section ASAP.
ObamaWellington@ObamaWellington
@DuncanStott So we might get HS "I can't Believe it's not HS2" at some point in the 2040s if we're lucky then maybe lol
English

@DrMoreShot72358 @LeonardBriscoe3 To be fair Bob Carolgees and Spit the Dog were at their peak in the 1980s
English

@ColinShearring @LeonardBriscoe3 Hahaha! Sorry, I’m not up to date on British pseudo-celebrities, but if this was a parody post, my bad.
English

@Captain_Deltic No it was a campaign by us 55 diehards. Never forgiven the usurping of the racehorse by the HST 🤣
But you can recover it just do a book 313s: The salvation of the GN commute 🤣
English

@DrMoreShot72358 @LeonardBriscoe3 Not realising it is a photo of Bob Carolges 🤣
English

Siding with Maduro says so much more about your character, or lack thereof, than it does about anything else. The left lost its moral compass years ago and can no longer distinguish right from wrong. People like Mary (or Leonard) here have just gone insane to the point that they’re not even able to acknowledge that Maduro was a dictator, who was closely associated with the narco-terrorists wrecking havoc around the world with their poison. Mary (Leonard), whose last name ought to start with Un-, was undoubtedly cheering when Maria Corina Machado got the Nobel Peace Prize over Trump for standing up to this same dictator, who overthrew elections and put her and other opposition leaders into hiding. Mary (Leonard) is like everyone else in the left, a disgrace to truth, honor, and Western Civilization.
English

@Choch66 @LeonardBriscoe3 There's a lot of fish been reeled in on this one 🤣🤣🤣🤣
English

@LeonardBriscoe3 Bob Carolgees & Spit the Dog have been removed from power...you couldn't make this shit up!!!
English

@DannyManDeBo @LeonardBriscoe3 Check the photo
It's missing Spit the dog which might have confused some
Bob Carolgees
English

To the UK?
How so?
You cucked lefties can only organize pedo parades and allow your citizens to be r@ped by foreign invaders…
We aren’t scared - and the red-blooded American males (with all of their “toxic masculinity”) will never allow what’s been done to you cucked western Europeans to be done here!
We WILL fight….
English

@Duckers56132160 @DeanCornish1966 It will be on EV soon....pay per mile 🤐
English

@DeanCornish1966 Didn’t realise clocking was still a thing 😆😆
English

@FunMovieTVFan @DavidHawker17 Me ......cutting two foot tall grass in the early days of owning a property in rural France in bare feet and shorts
The preceding line from the neighbour is often overlooked
Gardez pour les serpents
...
English

@Peter_Mugridge @RWilcockrail I wonder how many get off at Beaulieu Road only to realise it's more than a short walk to their destination.🤣
English

@RWilcockrail I wonder how many people will turn up there expecting to see a motor museum...? 🤣
English

@rzatkowski @YesterdaysBrit1 Red blinds in the locomotive headcode box confirm it's moving away from the camera 👍
English

@tomhfh There's never been a line from Hitchin to Luton
If you know the area geography has a significant impact why
There was a line from Welwyn via Harpenden to Luton and Dunstable
There were lines from Hitchin to
Bedford (closed) and the ECML and Cambridge (open)
English

@spritzerfolf @every_station And drove by tunnel junction in the spring. No clearance of vegetation has happened since the accident so seems we just treat the symptoms instead of the cause.
English

@every_station Lineside vegetation management is a big part of it. Especially given what happened in Salisbury a few years ago.
English

Today I travelled home from Glasgow. #StormAmy indeed made this a bit challenging to say the least!
I was thinking: Should the rail industry be more resilient to weather related issues now?
Obviously safety is key, but is there a way to be safe, but keep the trains running?

English

@Halfords_uk
Stop the scam emails please
Telling my wife she needs new tyres because she only had 6-7mm of tread left at last visit by your mobile van..... Only because she had a puncture
Maybe your system/ operative should check the mileage
She does 2500 miles a year 🙄
English

@SaltyTexan1836 @Matt_Pinner Charente for the sunset
Commune of 20 houses and faster broadband than I get in the UK
But have to pass the french language exam now to get residency and whilst I might just pass my wife would struggle

English

I already live in the best country in the world. 😉
However, if I had to, I could live in France, but it would have to be in the remote countryside VERY far from the cities. I speak some French already so it’s not that big of a leap. Northwest Brittany or Pays de la Loire perhaps…
Given the choice, between France and any other country I’d choose Ireland’s west coast, County Clare specifically. We loved Western Cornwall maybe Tintagel or the south in the Lizard.
Polperro on the coast was like a Time Machine visit.
English

@Johnnypapa64 We saved up enough tokens from Pg tips boxes to get a set of 4 chimp egg cups 🤣🤣
English

@StefanReynolds @SW_Help It was the bit that has always been nationalised since Railtrack that is responsible @networkrail ☹️
English

@SW_Help Looks like nationalisation worked a treat…!
English

@MrTimDunn @seaside_network Poole Park was our annual treat back in the 70s. Ride on the train preferably the diesel and a kayak around the lake whilst watching trains on the mainline
English
