I’ve recently handed back my lease car after 3yrs. I estimated 15k mileage per year at the time & didn’t check progress over the 3 years. I didn’t limit miles; just drove as I needed to. Just got confirmation of final mileage. Probably my best old man thing I’ve ever done.

Today I travelled home from Glasgow. #StormAmy indeed made this a bit challenging to say the least! I was thinking: Should the rail industry be more resilient to weather related issues now? Obviously safety is key, but is there a way to be safe, but keep the trains running?

I already live in the best country in the world. 😉 However, if I had to, I could live in France, but it would have to be in the remote countryside VERY far from the cities. I speak some French already so it’s not that big of a leap. Northwest Brittany or Pays de la Loire perhaps… Given the choice, between France and any other country I’d choose Ireland’s west coast, County Clare specifically. We loved Western Cornwall maybe Tintagel or the south in the Lizard. Polperro on the coast was like a Time Machine visit.

What is preventing you from moving to France?
