In the @FT today, I explain how President Trump, the Treasury Department, and @SenJoniErnst are working to save tens of billions by strengthening the Do Not Pay system, which President Obama created in 2010. This reform should have bipartisan support. @SenatorDurbin @RonWyden @SenGaryPeters sponsored similar reforms last year.

Kind of wild that a VP at @Heritage seems to be applauding as someone attacks traditional conservative values: free enterprise, limited government, individual freedom, traditional American values, and a strong national defense. Anyone who describes the Declaration of Independence as simply an "ordinance of secession" and the Constitution as "an old list of laws and political compromises" simply doesn't understand the brilliance of the founding.

Important particle by @RachKBarkley @AbleAmericans. IDEA is an essential program. I'd add that 20 years have passed since Congress last reformed IDEA, and it's time to update the law. I propose a grand bargain: increase IDEA funding but require states to offer ESAs.
