As of February 2026, approx. 676 start-ups, MSMEs, and individual innovators have joined the defence innovation ecosystem. 548 contracts have been signed & 566 challenges have been launched. Of these, 58 prototypes have received clearance for procurement, worth nearly Rs 3,853 crore. Furthermore, 45 procurement contracts have already been signed, valued at around Rs 2,326 crore. Lt Gen Dhiraj Seth, PVSM, UYSM, AVSM, General Officer Commanding-in-Chief, #SouthernCommand, visited HQ #WesternNavalCommand and held discussions with Vice Adm Krishna Swaminathan, PVSM, AVSM, VSM, FOC-in-C, Western Naval Command, on operational preparedness and joint synergy in the Western theatre. Building on the outcomes of Tri-Services Exercise #ExTrishul conducted in November 2025, the interaction reviewed the progress of joint operational coordination, cross-domain integration and mechanisms for enhanced information sharing in the Western theatre. The discussions underscored the growing depth of #Jointness and the importance of seamless inter-Service cooperation to effectively address emerging security challenges and strengthen integrated military responses. Air Marshal Jeetendra Mishra, Air Officer Commanding-in-Chief, Western Air Command, visited a strategic frontier base in the Northern Sector. After being received with a ceremonial Guard of Honour, the AOC-in-C reviewed the base's operational preparedness and infrastructure. Despite 𝗶𝗺𝗺𝗲𝗱𝗶𝗮𝘁𝗲 𝗺𝗲𝗱𝗶𝗰𝗮𝗹 𝗮𝘀𝘀𝗶𝘀𝘁𝗮𝗻𝗰𝗲, the brave soldier could not be revived and made the 𝗦𝘂𝗽𝗿𝗲𝗺𝗲 𝗦𝗮𝗰𝗿𝗶𝗳𝗶𝗰𝗲 in the 𝗹𝗶𝗻𝗲 𝗼𝗳 𝗱𝘂𝘁𝘆. His 𝘂𝗻𝘄𝗮𝘃𝗲𝗿𝗶𝗻𝗴 𝗰𝗼𝘂𝗿𝗮𝗴𝗲 and 𝗰𝗼𝗺𝗺𝗶𝘁𝗺𝗲𝗻𝘁 𝘁𝗼 𝗱𝘂𝘁𝘆 exemplify the 𝗳𝗶𝗻𝗲𝘀𝘁 𝘁𝗿𝗮𝗱𝗶𝘁𝗶𝗼𝗻𝘀 of the 𝗜𝗻𝗱𝗶𝗮𝗻 𝗔𝗿𝗺𝘆.
