Lenders cannot hit people if the loans taken turn NPA
This is shameful and not allowed by RBI.
A customer can default for various reasons,
But the lender has no right to hit them,
This is unacceptable, and a complete investigation must be done.
Bank should be fined and and strict action must be taken

The deaths certificate was NOT ENOUGH for bank officials. Bank officials do this to educated people too- as we know in @MoneylifeF - one can only imagine the harassment to those who are poor and not literate enough!!

VIDEO | Keonjhar, Odisha: On the case of a tribal man carrying his dead sister's skeletal remains as proof to the bank for withdrawal of money, state minister Suresh Pujari says, "I have talked to the administration regarding this. Action needs to be taken against the bank employees for this inhuman approach. I will instruct the senior officials at the bank to not treat this as an isolated case and punish the accused. The death certificate of the person wasn't enough for the bank employees which compelled the man to dig out his dead sister's remains. Such an incident has never happened in India. The government has taken serious note of the conduct of the bank employees and will take up the matter at the appropriate level to ensure that the accused are punished." A man in Odisha dug up his deceased sister’s grave and brought her skeleton to the bank Just to prove she had died. He had been trying to withdraw ₹20,000 from her account, but bank officials kept insisting he bring the account holder in person. Despite repeatedly telling them she had passed away, they didn’t listen. Frustrated and unaware of the legal process, he took this extreme step. This incident shows not just a lack of awareness, but also a failure of basic human understanding in the system.

Wouldn't it be much easier to just install webcams and then monitor this activity? Because it's easy to get rid of the hawkers, but they'll come back again the next day because they pay the police their hafta, which goes all the way to the top.

Around 15 lakh auto-rickshaw drivers across Maharashtra have announced a statewide agitation from May 4 against the government’s decision to make Marathi language proficiency mandatory for drivers. Unions have warned that the protest could disrupt transport services and lead to a shortage of autos on roads. A memorandum will be submitted to the transport department by April 28, and if the demand is not met, demonstrations will be held daily at railway stations, bus depots, markets, and other public places.
