It was a privilege to welcome around 90 attendees to our recent @FACTukorg conference for what was an important, thoughtful & deeply engaging discussion on the devastating impact of false allegations in positions of trust - whether that is carers, police officers or teachers. False allegations are not rare or harmless. They ruin lives, corrode trust & pervert justice. We must confront this crisis with courage, evidence & truth. The afternoon was marked by honest debate, powerful personal insights & a shared determination to ensure that lessons from past injustices are neither forgotten nor repeated. I was especially delighted that my dear friend Stephen Wright, former Associate Editor at the Daily Mail, joined us to reflect on his distinguished journalistic career, including his extensive work uncovering the truth behind Operation Midland. My sincere thanks to everyone who attended for their continued support of FACT and its work. I would also like to thank those who helped facilitate the conference, particularly Brian Hudson (@FACTSVUAA), whose tireless advocacy and commitment to FACT continues to make such events possible.

@FACTukorg @Elsie2127 @ccrcupdate @VeraBaird I have been encouraged up to now as I have been able to engage with the CCRC and Dame Vera has circulated a submission we made about their work. They have also agreed to review a case which was initially refused

@KHarveyProctor A thoroughly disgusting man who should not be allowed to have the freedom he sought to deprive others of. This is not justice.

@KHarveyProctor @RobertJenrick I think all these people who are changing parties and jumping ship cannot be trusted ever again. Traitors is not just a tv programme then. What kind of people are these. Self interest not constituent interest.

If @RobertJenrick was a politician of principle, he would resign, trigger a by-election, & stand as a Reform candidate - then the people of Newark can decide whether they endorse his change of allegiance. Having been elected to Parliament as a Conservative, Mr Jenrick no longer holds a mandate from his constituents under his new party banner. Democracy must be upheld not only in theory but in practice.

@FACTukorg This happens a lot. Our research shows how common false accusations are. This one got caught and she ought to serve the 10 to 15 years sentence the men would have got because of her despicable lies.

@KHarveyProctor They are calling accusers victims as though the defendant is already guilty. Innocent people are sometimes the victim. Yet they are not called that. The presumption of innocence has been dropped.

David Lammy suggests those accused of minor offences shouldn’t have the right to trial by jury - asking why “someone who has taken a mobile phone” can delay cases of rape or murder. He forgets: a CPS charge does not mean guilt. Innocent until proven guilty is the cornerstone of British justice. A Labour Government is smashing the criminal justice system. Eroding jury trials erodes freedom. We must not let this stand.

Wrong Listening to debates upon the backlog of rape cases they state that victims are waiting a long time. This statement is assuming the defendant is guilty before trial. How can people be victims when no guilt has been proved and no trial held. Rape crisis assumes wrongly.

@KHarveyProctor Two more cases arrived at FACT this week. Why? Well once again defence depending on legal aid poorly represented the accused and left compelling facts unheard in court ensuring once again that no balance and no fair trial. Two more men let down by the broken justice system

There are people still in prison today who maintain their innocence & remain incarcerated beyond their minimum sentences because they refuse to lie & “admit guilt” simply to satisfy the perverse requirements of the parole system. This must be addressed urgently. Every such case must be reviewed immediately. These prisoners deserve a fair investigation, not decades of punishment for refusing to perjure themselves. And when innocence is finally proven, compensation must be paid swiftly and fairly. The state must stop fighting innocent victims through the courts as though they are enemies to be crushed rather than citizens deserving restitution. @FACTukorg

Remember corruption starts at the top and infects all. Until we have honourable statesmen again the UK will continue to decline. The BBC needs a reset as does the whole police and justice system. Do we have that high caliber of people to facilitate trust and fairness in the UK?

Media witch hunts are turning this country bad. Justice and honour need re establishing. Time to start looking for good in people. Condemning all is getting us nowhere and more and more good innocent individuals are being persecuted and sacrificed needlessly.

It’s Remembrance Day. It’s time that this country, from those who govern to those in the media, did something positive to fix all that is broke to honour those who gave their lives and fought for a better world. Not just lip service. This is not what those soldiers died for.

On this day in 1618, Sir Walter Raleigh was beheaded at Whitehall after being falsely accused of treason. James I of England & VI of Scotland accused Raleigh of plotting against the king & he was sentenced to death. More than 400 years on, & we still live in a society plagued by trial by media, the presumption of guilt & where false allegations have become the ultimate weapon to ‘cancel’ someone, seek revenge or financial gain or simply to silence. False allegations, even when found to be untrue, still destroy lives & reputations before truth has a chance to be heard. @FACTukorg

We have thousands of men falsely accused and wrongly convicted of sexual abuse in Britain. The cry is only for victims of sexual abuse and not one MP interested in looking into how the justice system is working or not working here. The public clamour is only for justice for victims of sexual abuse and does seem to provide an excellent political platform. But when will it matter that our justice system is failing innocent men? When will it matter that all those calling themselves victims are thoroughly and carefully questioned to ensure that the memories they now have of what happened are entirely correct? After speaking with police/SS, lawyers, therapists and victims' advocates, all who want a case which will be proven, it is unfortunately a fact that leading and suggestion can go on. There are some judgements relying on word alone where it is clear that what has been described and accepted as reality could not possibly have happened, and there is concern out there that evidence beyond word should be important. There is currently very little awareness of how many have paid with their lives for false allegations made against them, and how many once happy families destroyed. These people are apparently of no interest whatever to MPs because they would interrupt the idea of who the real victims have been. So it seems we will continue to see multiple men incarcerated and destroyed over allegations of sexual abuse which never took place, and they are simply to be regarded as "collateral damage". What a legacy. @EmpowerInnocent @AccusedOrg @IFAD9S @SpokenInjustice @SpeechUnion @agnes1_n @AAFAI_org @SAFFtweets @Nigel_Farage @danny__kruger @TodayKjm @AlexChalkChelt @RobertJenrick @justicelog @JusticeGap @Elsie2127 @moor_facts @Barristerblog @SAFFtweets @DavidDavisMP @DavidRoseUK @rosiew5 @Zigmanfreud @DogsontheRunDoc @AndyFavor1 @Mscjervis @FACTSVUAA @FACTukorg @we_are_APPEAL @WAlladin1

And so the rape gang inquiry goes quiet, again. We must continue pushing in Parliament - our motion has gathered support from both Conservatives and Labour MPs, along with Northern Irish, ‘your party’ and independents. We must keep forcing it back onto the agenda. I am currently waiting on a slot for our Westminster debate related to the rape gang scandal following our independent inquiry’s successful petition. I’ll keep you all updated when we have a date. Lots happening, of course alongside our own inquiry. Let’s keep pushing.

@lizyeld @IleanaRenfrew @Mystifeye In today’s society it has got to the point where everyone knows of someone charged with a sexual assault. Numbers in prison are so high now that they can’t all be guilty. It seems one common theme throughout is that the system let them down through poor representation.

We have thousands of innocent men in prison, convicted of sexual crimes which never happened. Always bear that in mind. It is the accuser who has the power, always, because the accuser is always presumed to be the victim. Too often it is actually the other way round, and our system is a disgraceful failure, because there is no real discrimination of any kind. Because of the public mania, police are impressed with the need for convictions. @EmpowerInnocent @AccusedScots @IFAD9S @FACTukorg @FACTSVUAA @AAFAI_org
