When the @HouseGOP meets tomorrow to plan our agenda for 2026, the Freedom Caucus Board has a simple plan... Let's do what we promised: ➡️Secure elections by forcing the Senate to pass the SAVE Act, and go even further by requiring voter ID, returning to paper ballots, limiting ridiculous early voting, and halting auto mail-in ballots ➡️Cut or at least freeze spending levels, stop the crazy earmarks, and eliminate every single taxpayer dollar for refugee resettlement, migrant assistance, DEI programs, transgender agenda, climate change nonsense, and all the other woke garbage ➡️Make President Trump's secure border permanent by enacting #HR2 ➡️Pause all immigration until we can rework the system to serve the interests of America first because our citizens shouldn't have to compete against the world to get a decent job in their own backyard to put food on the table ➡️Impeach/remove rogue partisan judges like James Boasberg then let's get serious about reforming the judiciary to prevent other activist judges from unconstitutionally imposing their own personal politics on the entire country ➡️Enact President Trump's vision of taking power away from the big insurance companies and giving it back to patients and providers ➡️Halt funding for all non-governmental organizations pending a sweeping audit and stop giving taxpayer money to the very organizations dedicated to attacking us and our way of life ➡️Stop all taxpayer funding for abortions ➡️Outlaw Sharia law in the US And that's just the start...

Tonight, I voted YES to fully fund the entire Department of Homeland Security through May 22nd and end the Democrats’ radical shutdown. The Senate’s bill was unconscionable. In the dead of night, they defunded Border Patrol and ICE — including the division that fights child sex trafficking — giving Democrats everything they wanted. That weak, pathetic surrender is unacceptable. Republicans made a promise to the American people that we would secure our borders and enforce our immigration laws. House Republicans are keeping that promise by sending the Senate back a clean CR that actually funds our homeland security. Senators need to get back to Washington immediately, do their jobs, and pass this bill.

We want to reopen DHS and keep the border closed. Democrats want to keep DHS closed and reopen the border. We are not the same.

The Senate passed a Schumer bill in the morning that is a complete and utter disaster. The Schumer bill would have: Defunded the police Shut down CBP Shut down ICE My @HouseGOP colleagues and I are staying here all night to stop this atrocity. We will send back the Senate a bill that FULLY reopens the government. Enough is enough.

Waiting on the final vote in the House to fix what the Senate royally screwed up. I will vote to fund ALL of DHS — including ICE and CBP.

Our duty is to protect American citizens, not illegal aliens. That means funding ALL of DHS—including ICE and CBP.

Senators thought it was a good idea to leave D.C. while our homeland security hangs in the balance. Their bill provides: No pay for CBP and ICE. No funding for daily enforcement operations. No support for Border Patrol. Unacceptable. House Republicans will not tolerate this.

I don’t care that the Senate’s on vacation. I don’t care about their CODELs. I don’t care about their events. They didn’t do their job. They purposely left @ICEgov child sex trafficking investigation units UNFUNDED. This package needs to be amended and sent back to the Senate.

At the end of the day, Democrats want open borders. They want to keep the MILLIONS of illegal aliens who entered during the Biden-Harris years in our country. Republicans cannot fold. I know I won’t.

At 2AM, Leader Thune passed (by voice vote!) a DHS funding bill without ICE & CBP funding, a Plant Month resolution, and an Asbestos Awareness Week resolution. Then kicked off a 2 week recess. What about the SAVE America Act? What about ICE & CBP? Americans deserve better.

At a recent Homeland Security Committee hearing, I spoke about the real consequences of the border crisis and the importance of supporting the men and women who keep our communities safe. Today’s Senate action shows just how broken Washington has become. After weeks of delay that left 260,000 Americans without paychecks, they passed a bill that still fails to fully support ICE and CBP. We must fully fund DHS and stand behind those on the front lines protecting our communities.

Looks like Leader John Thune is on his way out of town with his private escort, as the SAVE America Act gets left behind. This is very disappointing. I am willing to stay in Washington as long as it takes to get the job done.

The Senate bill is a non-starter. We’ll send something back to stand with @CBP & @ICEgov - perhaps other important provisions. But we’re not accepting the garbage from the Senate.
