@MattWalshBlog I remember reading an article around 40c years ago that regular exercise, started early, would add about 8 years to your life and you would spend about years of your life working out. I have no idea if it's true, but I came away with the conclusion you should do what you enjoy.

The health consciousness stuff has gone massively overboard. People walking around with bands tracking their vital signs every second of the day like they’re astronauts on the ISS. Treating alcohol or sugar like it’ll kill them if they look at it. Tracking their sleep. Counting their steps. It’s possible to live a healthy life without being an obsessive, paranoid lunatic. You’re gonna die either way. In a few decades you’ll be just as dead as the rest of us, if not sooner. Relax a little and live your life while you still can.

@rickysworldview @elonmusk This is why the US doesn't need trains. Thousands of these every day, carrying millions of people to their destination in a few hours. Trains couldn't absorb a tiny fraction of this traffic. They can never be cost competitive beyond a hundred miles or so.

Help us build a fast-moving train system that goes from east to west with connector lines going north and south. We need a fast-moving train to get people across the country to conduct business and encourage more travel and exploration. It would also bring a lot of business to all the states that this train line passes through. @elonmusk

@RockChartrand Capitalism uses force because it's class slavery of the "working class" to the capitalists, by the way it controls the land, at gunpoint ultimately, to remove our land access then rent ir back to us in return for our labor for life. Nature requires work but capitalism is slavery.

The alternative always uses force, because reality requires production. Under capitalism, you survive through voluntary trade. Under socialism, someone else is forced to provide for you. Nature requires work. Socialism just transfers who’s coerced into doing it.
John Rad@JohnRad15

How can anyone not understand this is a strawman? Have to really be in deep to not understand it. Capitalism is not trade. Yes life requires work but capitalism is class slavery of the working class to the capitalists and is morally wrong. It controls the land to force our labor.

@Imhisnonna @EVRobes @ResisttheMS You mean the BILLIONS he's paid in taxes didn't feed ANYONE!?! The corruption must be orders of magnitude worse than we thought. The employees he pays also don't eat? The money they spend doesn't feed anyone? How utterly atrocious!

@TheistLess @elonmusk But those things can also degrade life. The unproven beliefs are what determines whether life is improved or degraded.

The best possible future is one where humanity stops letting unproven beliefs divide us, and starts uniting around what actually improves life: science, technology, education, health, creativity, and access. Give more people the tools to think, build, and solve problems, and the world changes faster.

What is the best possible future? This question is much harder to answer than it may seem.

I made no comment at all about vaccines. I don't care, beyond not forcing them. Capitalism is not slavery. You stating it like it's fact doesn't make it so. Grok summarizes why quite handily, offering independent support for my otherwise pointless statement of fact. Using a tool doesn't make me a fool.

@GaryTheGrayed @NudesNotNukes @TheNonMan @r31gnn Ok so someone can agree with you on the jab yet you won't take it as an indication of their soundness of mind and judgement. Capitalism is slavery and asking Grok for an answer shows the fool you are, same as the jab-takers.

@TheNonMan @NudesNotNukes @r31gnn The threat of homelessness and starvation is not caused by capitalism. It's just life. Damn right it's coercive. So are laws, society, and family. After some pretty rough stretches in my childhood I started work at 14 and busted my butt for 50 years. I was coerced. 💯

@NudesNotNukes @r31gnn One group are morons who think vaccines cause autism or pretend that life-long health complications of covid are caused by vaccines. The other group is the working class facing increasingly violent suppression, exploitation and austerity as capitalism deteriorates.

@Acyn And the MAGA faithful along with the cowardly Republican Congress will continue you to act oblivious to this statement. At what point do the Republicans who are actually running for re-election start pivoting for the sake of self preservation? Do they ever?

PabloReports: What do you make of Trump saying that he doesn’t think about Americans’ financial situation? Rep. Jamie Raskin: I was surprised to hear that because I always thought he was so concerned with how working-class Americans were doing in his wretched economy. I thought he woke up every day wondering how people are going to pay for their groceries and their rent. The guy has made over a billion since he got into office. He doesn’t view the government as an instrument of wellbeing for the people; he views it as an instrument for private self-enrichment and corruption. I appreciate the fact that he has a condition that causes him to blurt out the truth on occasion.

This guy is using the left hand lane , which is open. There is a mile long backup and everyone is over in the right hand lane. He drives all the way up until he has to merge. Some people are saying what a jerk he is for not getting in line like everyone else, but a great many people are saying that the cars in the right lane merged into one lane too soon and that if they had used the left lane, instead of being a mile backup it would have been a half a mile backup. What’s your take? Do you think he was correct in using the left lane and merging up at the front or should he have merged right and got in line way in the back like everyone else?

@GaryTheGrayed @nancipuwalski @JessicaTarlov Politician is added just so you don't point to you mother calling you that as proof that you can say it to the potential Speaker of the House. Substitute that for any white public servant and produce a clip, preferably by that guy from the radio station.

At least for me the grok output in your comment is truncated. I was able to use the "ask grok yourself" button which I didn't think would work for me. Thanks for the heads up. The full output basically shows a split of etymologists showing early non-racist uses and others claiming racism, because they want racism, but with no actual references.
