Tony Blair’s institute has proposed a dystopian scheme to use your private NHS health data to slash state pensions, they want to replace the triple lock with a creepy “Lifespan Fund” where payouts are personalised based on your medical records and predicted life expectancy, the plan means healthier people who live longer would get smaller monthly amounts so everyone only gets roughly 20 years’ worth of pension no matter what, it would involve mandatory health checks and a government app basically playing Grim Reaper with your retirement savings, critics have slammed it as a shocking privacy nightmare and dangerous overreach that punishes people for staying healthy, this is vintage Blair – the same man who enjoys a lavish taxpayer-funded pension himself now wants to lecture and control ordinary Brits who paid in all their lives,

By ending the two-child benefit cap, we have delivered relief for millions of children whose families struggled to provide the basic necessities of life. This is the difference we can make together, but only with your support. Vote for your Labour team on the 7th May 🌹

You shouldn’t expect the state to prop you up. That’s your problem for not saving into a private pension. There is no state pension pot, what you paid over the years isn’t ring fenced, it goes into day to day spending. Now, workers are funding your life style with their taxes. It’s entitlement

I’m a pensioner. So I benefit from the triple lock. I get the full state pension. Which is £965 every four weeks; so equivalent to £1045 a month. I get the full amount because I have 50 years of working and paying my stamp and income tax. I get no other pension. It’s not luxury!

I should have my V5 back for the E66 7 Series by the weekend and want to put a private plate on it. I sold most of my plates with my old business assets so only really have HO51ERX left and as weird as it sounds - I'm not that keen on the way it looks on older cars🫥 My new Business intials are SNH-L strictly speaking and quite fancy a cheap prefix plate for the time being. What do you think looks best out of the 4 below options? There is also - L22 SNH, L55 SNH & L70 SNH for the same price I quite like the look of too🤔

Dr Chris Day, it is people like you that the country needs. Diligent and loyal to why you became a doctor. An amazing example of courage. Ofcourse the authorities don’t see or quantify your sacrifice. Public money spent on something that could have been improved in a meeting rather than court to cover up short comings. This should never be allowed to happen. I wonder what the Health Secretary has to say

HE PROTECTED 54,000 DOCTORS. THE @NHS PROTECTED ITSELF. In January 2014, Dr Chris Day (@drcmday) was working overnight in the intensive care unit at Queen Elizabeth Hospital in Woolwich. Two locum doctors didn't show up. The unit was running at double the patient load the national guidelines allow. He raised the alarm. He reported unsafe staffing. He linked the situation to two patient deaths. That's what the NHS calls a whistleblower. What followed was eight years of litigation, a legal battle all the way to the Court of Appeal, and over £700,000 of public money spent by Health Education England (@NHSE_WTE) and Lewisham and Greenwich NHS Trust (@LG_NHS) trying to stop his case being heard at all. Here's the really elegant bit. HEE's opening legal argument wasn't that they'd done nothing wrong. It was that whistleblowing law simply didn't apply to them, because they didn't directly employ junior doctors. They were just the organisation that controlled the career progression of every single one of England's 54,000 junior doctors. Totally different thing. Dr Day fought that argument to the Court of Appeal and won. The law was clarified. All 54,000 junior doctors below consultant grade in England now have statutory whistleblowing protection. One man, crowdfunding against three QCs, changed employment law for an entire profession. No formal apology from the NHS. No reinstatement. No path back to a consultant career. He has worked as a locum A&E doctor ever since, doing overnight shifts while his opponents collected salaries, pensions, and the occasional glowing tribute to NHS transparency. During the 2022 tribunal hearing, the communications director at Lewisham and Greenwich NHS Trust deleted up to 90,000 emails. The director whose entire NHS email archive was also deleted during live litigation happened to be the instructing legal client in the case. The tribunal described the conduct as extraordinary. Nobody was prosecuted. The trust issued a partial apology about a press release. The system did exactly what it always does. It absorbed the cost, deflected accountability, and waited for the man it destroyed to run out of money or energy. He hasn't. I found a very rare model of a Maserati Kyalami at an Italian Flee Market today. I was going to buy it, but the lady on the stall told me off for moving the cars around when I was searching for a 550 Barchetta model so I just put it back. 😬

You guys are f*cking awesome. 32k followers in 6 weeks is pretty insane? Let me emphasise: I will donate 100% of the money I ever make on @X. And I will personally match that amount from my own funds. The charities I donate to are focused on: 1. Youth homelessness in London 2. Child welfare & protection 3. Men's mental health & su*cide prevention I'm doing this as a fun side hobby to help as many people as I can become better investors/traders. Also, I'm truly very sorry if I can't get back to your messages/replies/DM in a timely manner. I'm currently balancing X with a super intense job in Finance (I'm very privileged that I'm even able to say that). Synthesizing high quality research for X takes a lot of time. It would be easy to pour out garbage, Claude-generated posts daily! I welcome you guys to keep messaging me until I reply though. Love interacting and learning from you all :) I just wanna be useful! (And no, unfortunately I'm not hiring atm lol. But thank you for the inbound open applications!)

Just saw this on Reddit and it’s genuinely crazy how people make so much money on these kinds of investments. 🤯 This guy hit £1M in his tax-free ISA by age 27 with a mind-blowing 2,572% return just by going all-in on "energy infrastructure" and mining stocks like Hut 8 and IREN. How do people even think of finding and investing so heavily in these niche companies before they completely blow up? Do you have any under-the-radar companies like this that you’re interested in right now? If so, what are they? 👇📈

@100kDiary What’s crazy to me is people holding millions in these kinds of apps. 212 is an IBKR reseller. The shares are pooled together in an omnibus account and not in your name. And you’re only protected up to 20 or 85K depending if you’re under the Cyprus or UK branch.

Cash for Clunkers destroyed 690,000 functional vehicles in 2009, creating an artificial scarcity that rippled through used car markets for over a decade. The Obama administration sold this $3 billion program as environmental salvation and economic stimulus, but any free market economist could predict the real outcome: massive wealth destruction disguised as progress. The program forced dealers to pour sodium silicate into engines, permanently destroying cars that poor families could have afforded. Politicians eliminated the bottom tier of the used car market overnight. Suddenly, a reliable $3,000 Honda Civic became a $7,000 Honda Civic (if you could find one). The supposed beneficiaries — working-class Americans who needed affordable transportation — got priced out entirely. Government intervention always creates unseen victims, and Cash for Clunkers delivered them by the millions. Single mothers, college students, and minimum-wage workers watched their mobility options vanish as used car prices soared 30% between 2009 and 2014. The environmental gains proved negligible too: most clunkers averaged 15-17 MPG while replacements hit 24-25 MPG. Destroying half a million cars to improve average fuel economy by 8 MPG represents the kind of central planning that would give Soviet bureaucrats a hard-on. The wealth destruction extended beyond sticker prices. Higher transportation costs forced people into longer payment terms, creating a debt cycle that persists today. Cash for Clunkers normalized 84-month auto loans, turning cars from depreciating assets into multi-year financial anchors. Bureaucrats congratulated themselves for moving inventory off dealer lots while condemning an entire generation to transportation poverty.
