Q: The Pentagon is supposedly dispatching 2,000 troops. How is that not boots on the ground? And you said we're not at war. How is that not an escalation of war in Iran? MIKE JOHNSON: Look, I think it sends a signal to Iran that they better get their act together. Operation Epic Fury is almost done.

If you were wondering what has happened to Venezuela since Donald Trump brought "freedom and democracy" to it, the man who oversaw Venezuela’s torture program under Maduro has now risen to the very top of the power structure to now lead the country’s military.

This is crazy. Trumps 1st endorser Jeff Sessions appointed Mueller!! He indicted 25 Russians. The report was so straightforward the GOP senate report echoed it. Then he retired and went back to private life. For this he deserves the president grave dancing on him? Trash.
Brit Hume@brithume

🇺🇸🇮🇷 The war made Iran richer and your groceries more expensive Dow just doubled its April price hike on polyethylene, the plastic in everything from shopping bags to bottles. Their stock is up 25% since the war started. Global naphtha supply is stuck behind a closed Strait and American chemical companies are cashing in. Meanwhile, the war that was supposed to crush Iran's economy accidentally gave it a raise. Before the conflict, Tehran produced 1.1 million barrels a day and sold at $47 after discounts. Today it's pumping 1.5 million barrels at $110 with barely any discount, through new payment channels that bypass the old sanctions infrastructure entirely. Trump and Israel delivered de facto sanctions relief through the war itself. Which means Iran has less reason to stop fighting unless a formal deal offers what it's already getting informally. The country being "obliterated" is making more money per barrel than at any point in recent history. Source: WSJ, @tparsi

🇺🇸🇮🇷 The 15-point plan is on the table The U.S. sent Iran its terms through intermediaries: dismantle all three nuclear sites, end enrichment on Iranian soil, suspend the missile program, cut off every proxy, and reopen Hormuz. In return, sanctions lifted and American assistance with civilian nuclear energy. This is essentially the same deal Trump offered before the war started. Four weeks of bombing, 13 dead Americans, $12+ billion spent, 1,400+ Iranian civilians killed, and the offer on the table is almost identical to the one Tehran rejected in February... Iran's new leadership says it wants more now, specifically compensation for the destruction. Trump says they've "agreed they will never have a nuclear weapon." The gap is narrowing but the hardest part remains. Iran won't accept zero enrichment. Trump won't pay reparations. And Netanyahu is still bombing while everyone else is negotiating. The deal will live or die on whether creative language can bridge the distance between what both sides need to tell their people back home. Source: WSJ

🇮🇷🇺🇸 The IRGC just walked back the progress everyone was celebrating Days ago, Iran's demands had shifted to something workable: sanctions relief, security guarantees, and compensation. That was the moderate track. Tonight, the IRGC is running the table with a completely different list: close every American base in the Gulf, let Iran collect tolls on Hormuz like Egypt does at Suez, keep the missile program untouched, and pay reparations. This is the IRGC flexing over the diplomats. The Revolutionary Guard consolidated power through this war and is now dictating terms that a U.S. official called "ridiculous and unrealistic." 🚨🇺🇸 🇮🇷 THE REALIST’S TARGET ASSESSMENT Navy Sr Chief Malcolm Nance challenges the "hawkish" narrative that hitting 70,000 targets equates to victory. Malcolm argues that decapitation strikes often just "upgrade" the leadership to a more radical and supercharged model. The x5 NYT Bestselling Author notes that even a single hit on a supertanker will end all maritime insurance and freeze global trade. Nance concludes that the war will only end when political and financial pressure forces a declaration of victory to cut losses. @MalcolmNance

🚨🇺🇸 🇮🇷 RED SEA MADNESS: $200 OIL U.S. Intelligence expert Malcolm Nance warns that if the Houthis fully enter the conflict, they could close all shipping from the Red Sea to the Persian Gulf. This move would force the world to reroute around South Africa, sending oil prices skyrocketing to $200 a barrel. Nance points out that we have no idea what the Houthis have been stockpiling since last year, from suicide torpedoes to ballistic missiles. Malcolm believes the U.S. failed to think through the consequences of a multi-front maritime war. @MalcolmNance

NEWS from Oval - Trump told us: "We've won this. This war has been won." He said Iran gave the US an oil- and gas-related “gift" that showed him "we're dealing with the right people.” It's "related to the flow, to the Strait," he told me. "It was a very significant prize, and they gave it to us, and they said they were going to give it," he told @edokeefe. Trump: "We have, really, regime change. You know, this is a change in the regime. Because the leaders are all very different than the ones that we started off with, that created all those problems." Trump said @VP Vance, @SecRubio, @JaredKushner and @SEPeaceMissions Steve Witkoff currently doing negotiations with Iran. Hegseth told us: "We see ourselves as part of this negotiation as well. We negotiate with bombs." At that, Trump said two people were "quite disappointed" when the president said the conflict could be settled soon: Pete Hegseth and Dan Caine.
