James Talarico’s team just dropped a brutal ad targeting Ken Paxton and they clearly are not planning to run a polite campaign. The strategy is obvious: turn Paxton himself into the issue. Not just policy. Not just party. Paxton personally. And considering Paxton’s years of investigations, scandals, impeachment battles, and legal controversies, Democrats clearly believe there is enough existing material to make the election a referendum on him instead of ideology alone.
