I really need to cull out the thirst trappers man. It’s not good for my mental health. It’s cruel in a way. I mean to each their own but… they 100% know what they’re doing. I don’t like this game. I don’t want to play it that way. But, it’s everywhere. 😞 I need to be better.

I've never heard of anybody who bought a Tesla and regretted it. That truly says a lot. If you're looking for a car that's fun, safe, and keeps getting better through software updates, a Tesla is the one to buy. Current Tesla owners, do you regret your purchase? And if you do, what's the reason why?

@JonBbC_TechGeek I may be in the minority. I totally love FSD-Supervised. If they NEVER got Unsupervised, I can still be happy. It appears that a lot of people want to sleep while the car drives them somewhere.

There’s a huge divide in the Tesla community regarding FSD. Optimists vs. Realists Which one are you? I’m both. 🙋‍♂️ 80% optimist, 20% realist. It’s OK to reach across the aisle to those who are whining, complaining, frustrated, angry. Just please don’t throw up a wall. 🙏 People have good points on both sides.

@JonBbC_TechGeek Unbelievably difficult technological problem to solve! Tesla is doing something that hasn't been done before, so to me, it takes as long as it takes. I know someone working in the FSD team and he's working VERY VERY long hours. Respect!

@SawyerMerritt Yes, to me previous versions are unsatisfactory in urban highway environments. So, I drive urban freeways and let the car drive rural….

With FSD V14.3 and after, the car consistently moves into the right lanes 2.5 miles before your highway exit. As you can see below, the moment the car is under 2.5 miles from the exit, it turns on the blinker. I have been able to consistently repeat this. With previous versions of FSD, it would often wait until the last minute. No more anxiety from last second exit merging lol. (video sped up)
Sawyer Merritt@SawyerMerritt

Here's my first drive on Tesla FSD V14.3.1. It feels polished vs 14.3 and it my opinion is ready for wide release. • With 14.3.1, you can now tap on the new "P" parking icon and bring up your different parking options • Mad Max mode on the highway feels slightly more conservative with top speed (favors low 80s more often), but will now get to the right lanes sooner to prepare for exiting the highway. In this first drive, Mad Max did not go above 83mph, despite no cars around me most of the time. Follow distance is also more comfortable. I like all these things. • I'm having zero brake stabbing issues on 14.3.1, whereas I had a couple on my first drive with 14.3 • Urban lane selection is better vs 14.3 • Navigation routes and occasional parking alignment still need some work, but that's not a reason to hold back wide release. It still surprises me how much quicker V14.3 reacts to things. If a car pulls out of a parking spot as you drive by, FSD hits the brakes before you even know what's going on. The 20% better reaction time is definitely noticeable.

Tesla owners, what is your favorite part about the ownership experience? I want potential buyers to hear from real customers and what they can expect if they decide to buy a Tesla. One of my favorites is the convenience of charging at home. Never having to go to a gas station where the price is always fluctuating. Drop yours below. Let's help someone make the switch.

The anti-EV crowd keeps making the same mistake: they act as if EV limitations pile on top of all the gas-car problems we’ve already learned to live with. That’s not how it works. It’s a trade-off, not a stack. Buy a Tesla and you don’t have to live with gas-car problems.

People actually don’t want to own cars. They just want to *have* a car. Today car ownership is complicated. You have to arrange financing, pay for the financing, pay for the car, pay for the insurance, pay for fuel, pay for maintenance, car washes, vehicle registration, parking, parking tickets etc If there was a $499 a month subscription I could buy that rolled almost all of those costs into one monthly fee it would make things much simpler. You could still keep your car in the garage if you wanted to, but it would just be more expensive then sending it out to do useful work. If a monthly subscription provided an experience that felt a lot like car ownership without the hassle of car ownership, I think consumers would love that. Many will choose to have no upfront subscription cost and just pay as they go for rides, but for those who want their own car I think there will be subscriptions that feel much like a car lease does today, but with less long term commitment (because if you don’t want the car anymore, it can always go out and do work to pay for itself)
JGP@jgp94

@wholemars But people still want to own cars. If tesla decides not to build new models I wish they would at least sell a sled for coach makers to build out new deigns (like the old days).

I like Teslas. The technology is cool. They’re fun to ride in and probably even more fun to drive. Plus, Tesla is an American company. 🇺🇸 But Telsa fanbois are the most insufferable and obnoxious douche flutes on the internet.
