I’m going to be tweeting some product thoughts on the apps/tools I use. If you find yourself here, I always welcome (opposing?) views :) My PM background leans market strategy + design, so I love hearing about the edge cases, scaling issues, and technical surprises you’ve seen

I have a product launch coming up and have been anxious/excited to see the social media response I’m trying to figure out how to put into a deck “the negative voices on Twitter will usually the loudest, people want to fire the Spotify designer because of a disco ball”

roon + amanda are the shining knights of their respective orders. two warrior-poets, adorned in mystique and sparkling heraldry, dueling it out in noble jousts under the banners of chivalry & honor but it is all for show, for their Lords desire nothing less than the other's head

@AppleTV could we get a more visible highlight on the tile that’s “selected” while scrolling (I have a Roku tv if helpful) - I’m constantly confused about what I’m clicking on

@Haoda_Song @anuatluru Hmm idk everyone hates MBAs but in my experience they’re usually ambitious and smart (over index on optionally though)

@benhylak I struggle with this as a PM though because you don’t want to implement changes based on one person’s preferences

i think it's funny when i give big companies free feedback that they'd happily pay me millions of dollars a year for, but then it just gets added to a feedback queue

This makes sense, but feels weirdly executed If the goal was to test signup impact, you could just A/B test the docs (hide Claude Code for a small %) while still giving everyone access Not perfect (same user might see different versions across incognito/devices/Reddit) but less messy than the current approach. Might not have enough signups to get statistical significance at 2% though

In the defense of Anthropic, within Growth Engineering, this is a "Fake Door Test" Pretend there is a door when there is not. In this case: tell everyone Claude Code won't be part of Max; and see how signups change with this notion (no eng effort needed!) Via newsletter.pragmaticengineer.com/p/what-is-grow…

I don't know what they are doing over there, but Codex will continue to be available both in the FREE and PLUS ($20) plans. We have the compute and efficient models to support it. For important changes, we will engage with the community well ahead of making them. Transparency and trust are two principles we will not break, even if it means momentarily earning less. A reminder that you vote with your subscription for the values you want to see in this world.
Amol Avasare@TheAmolAvasare

For clarity, we're running a small test on ~2% of new prosumer signups. Existing Pro and Max subscribers aren't affected.
