Thank you for your strong words on the matter Ian. I have worked with the family on & off since 2016. A decade on, they are not my clients, my customers, I am proud to call them friends. Simple honest hard working people, everything they have ever told me has proved to be true when I have investigated. And I do investigate, I do due diligence whether I like people or not, I have to trust the facts of who/what I work with & represent. The Morgan's are from a humble background, factory workers who became farmers but despite having little formal education became experts in cattle rearing, aggregate sourcing, development investors. In their own humble way, hard workers but very clever at business & on the aggregate deals way ahead of their time. They were not only destroyed by Scourfield's actions, Des Phillip's greed & asset stripping attempts (whilst backed by @Barclays & @LloydsBank ) but mainly let down, ripped off & defrauded repeatedly by their "Professional Advisers" & "professionals" they were forced to deal with. I'll name some of them & they can rail against me, sue me, whatever, truth will out... HE DIED BEGGING AN INSOLVENCY FIRM NOT TO BANKRUPT HIS FAMILY. THEY David Morgan was a multi-millionaire businessman. Then his HBOS bank manager, Lynden Scourfield, blackmailed him in 2005. Comply with corrupt demands, or we'll destroy your business. The Morgan family said no. What followed was 20 years of institutional destruction. Scourfield, who was later convicted and jailed, forced the family to re-bank. Their borrowing costs jumped from 2% to 30% overnight. David was simultaneously fighting cancer, missing hospital appointments because Scourfield kept summoning him under threat. In 2009, @LloydsBank Director Mark Medd admitted the bank knew about Scourfield's mess. He promised to investigate. Nothing happened. Instead, insolvency firm Begbies Traynor arrived and spent the next decade pursuing the family through the courts over a debt they had already settled. David Morgan was dying of cancer in November 2013 when he begged them to stop. They refused. He died in April 2014. Begbies partner Paul Stanley filed a public report days later calling the bankruptcies a "win," despite recovering nothing for creditors. @LloydsBank set aside £790 million for HBOS fraud victims. Sir David Foskett promised full restitution. His widow Jane has been in the compensation scheme for five years. She has received zero. Now Begbies Traynor's Paul Barber is taking Jane to court to force a £3 million payout she has never seen, so Begbies can take their fees from it first. @TheFCA has watched every step of this and done nothing. Sir David Foskett promised to meet any victim who requested it. He has refused Jane Morgan six times. Which is why legislation needs to change. There should be a mechanism to place the person in a position they were in before they had real losses, be that financial, psychological etc. Those must be quantifiable and verified. It’s pointless looking at one without addressing the root causes, and financial damage is the most common reason for psychological damage.

WHISTLEBLOWER CHARITY CAUGHT IGNORING WHISTLEBLOWERS. TURNS OUT IT'S ABOUT THE MONEY. A documentary just dropped that lays out one of the most cynical operations I have seen in the whistleblowing space. WhistleblowersUK (@WB_UK), run by CEO Georgina Halford Hall and former Conservative MP Jo Gideon (@jogideon), presents itself as the leading force reforming UK whistleblowing law. Their big idea is an Office of the Whistleblower, modelled on the American bounty system, which would give them the power to decide who qualifies as a whistleblower, what fines companies pay, and how much individuals receive. Millions of pounds potentially at stake. Here is what the documentary @WBINC_Doc actually found. 62 people contacted WBUK for help. Low-paid workers were ignored entirely. Higher-paid individuals were contacted back and asked to sign contracts and pay fees. An employment judge criticised WBUK for offering unregulated legal services. Internal messages show Halford Hall telling a whistleblower raising child abuse concerns that her time costs money and she had none to spare. Their parliamentary influence runs through an All Party Parliamentary Group on Whistleblowing, for which WBUK acts as secretariat. APPG secretariats are not required to declare their funding. The documentary raises credible evidence that American law firms specialising in whistleblowing bounty cases have been funding WBUK's push to reshape UK law. Sir Norman Lamb (@normanlamb) resigned as joint chair specifically because he could not get answers about who was paying for what. WBUK then made Christristen Ager Hansen a whistleblowing ambassador and brought him into Parliament events. He was a fugitive in the UK avoiding a prison sentence at the time. A Norwegian court had already ruled his whistleblowing reports were entirely fabricated to serve his own interests. Swedish authorities raided his hotel room and seized his watches over unpaid court costs. WBUK championed him anyway. I have covered Eileen Chubb of Compassion in Care (@CompassnInCare) twice already in this series, the BUPA Seven and the CQC disclosing 47 whistleblowers to their employers. She has been right about every single institution she has taken on. She is right about this one too. Parliament is being lobbied to reshape UK law by an organisation that told a child abuse whistleblower it was too busy to talk. @WB_UK @agerhanssen I sat at BIS in 2013 with other industry heads discussing this. A lack of legislation is the problem. We need to tackle the rampant corruption before PIDA can be properly implemented. Otherwise it’s just an unanchored system. It might be remotely as I will not be in the UK.

Stephen, you might consider pushing for the recommendations made in the Bach report. I sent you a copy. Take some time to digest it. They saw the dangers of all this and addressed them with proper solutions. I know the Society isn’t everyone’s cup of tea but that should not detract from a serious and factual investigation.

Artur, great thread as always but I tried to limit the words. These people threatened to take the wedding rings off Lynn Morgan’s hand to get a few hundred quid. Meanwhile other Begbies partners were shutting down the criminal David Mills companies where he’d laundered/stolen tens of millions of HBOS money & didn’t investigate any of it, or him. Clode & others, I have the evidence & @Ian_Fraser articles supporting that. I can prove everything I say. These IPs posing as “officers of the court” are the cockroaches/ leeches facilitating the majority of the financial frauds in the UK. A summary: • previously overseas voters can only be registered for 15 years. • Harborne has lived in Thailand at least 25 years. He has been making political donations since 2001. • some of them must be illegal • the 15 years rule was abolished (under Johnson, another Harborne donee [thanks @chris_spencer04]) in January 2024. • unless Harborne registered after Jan 2024 he was an impermissible donor • Farage argues he wasn't an MP at the time. That doesn't wash with Parliament, but he's not worried about Parliament & its limited powers, he's worried about Electoral Commission. • EC can take an interest if the money was for political campaigning etc, which is why Farage is at pains, via various versions, to say it had nothing to do politics. Conclusion - an illegal foreign donation laundered through two properties, maybe more.

@WB_UK @agerhanssen Nobody will know the details apart from those involved and as they say, ‘the devil is in the detail’. The more important issue is fully aligning PIDA within a properly supported framework which is not present. In the coming months and years it will be needed in a major way.
