🚨TANGKHULS ARE MEITEIS BY BLOOD AND ANCESTRY, DISTINCT FROM THE NAGAS.🧵 The unbreakable umbilical cord of Tangkhul-Meitei Blood-Brothers: ■The ancestral ties & blood relations between the Meiteis & the Tangkhuls are deeply rooted in "ancient" Meitei manuscripts (Puyas), which trace their shared lineages back to common progenitors. □In Tangkhul tradition, they believed that the name "Meitei" originated from the southern Tangkhuls & can be traced back to the word "Mateimi" which eventually became "Meitei/Meetei", meaning, "our people who have adopted another culture." According to "ancient" Meitei Manuscripts (puyas): ■The Leihou Naophamlon: Re-written by Pandit Irom Amubi, in page number 8 of this puya, it records that kage gave birth to 3 sons, Khapa (Khaba), Tangpa & Chakot. Over time, Khapa evolved into the Khamaran, Tangpa became the Tangkhul & Chakot transformed into the Chakot Hao. ■The Khunung Leikairol: This Puya states that the eldest son of Khuman was Khoupu (Koupu) & the youngest was Tangkhul (Tangkhun). Koupu laid the foundation for the Angom clan of the Meiteis, while Tangkhun became the progenitor of the Tangkhul Hao, signifying an extraordinarily close, foundational relationship between the Angom & Tangkhul clans. ■The Leishirembi: Re-written by Moirangthem Ibungotombi, page 45 explicitly notes that the lineages of Angom Enba Ningombam, Laitonjam Sakuram, Akoijam, Nungshangkhong, Lampui & Kasom Arong all share the same bloodline. ■The Khagemba Yumbi: This text documents that while the Khapa clan eventually faced extinction in the valley, its remnants & descendants were significantly absorbed into the Tangkhul clans. ■The Chakpa Lol Khuntaba: Re-written by Mayanglambam Gourachandra Singh, in page number 9, this text explains that the Khapa community merged with the Tangkhul through intermixing. During this era, King Pakhangba arrived from Moirang & ousted Khaba Nungjenba from the Kangla Fort. While some Khaba members submitted to Pakhangba & others to Angom Puleiromba, the majority crossed the Nongmaijing Hill & bacame the Tangkhul Machiba. ■The Meihourol Pukok: Translated by Pandit Irom Amubi Singh, in page number 35, this manuscript reveals that Meidingu Naokhomba, upon learning that the Khaba clan had been bitter enemies of his great-grandfather Pakhangba, ordered a total purge of the clan. To survive, the remaining Khaba fled eastward across the Nongmaiching Hill, permanently assimilating into the Tangkhul Machiba clans. ■The Thirel Meiram Leeba: Re-written by N. Ibochouba, in page number 9, it corroborates that the Khaba climbed the Langmai (Nongmaijing) hills, giving rise to branches like the Liktok, Kourang & Sakok Tangkhul Hao. ■The Poireiton Khunthokpa: Re-written by Pandit Moirangthem Chandra Singh, in page number 9 of this text, it notes that several individuals who accompanied Poireiton during his migration eventually settled & became Tangkhuls. It describes the traditional attire of the Tangkhul Chagot as follows: a diagonally draped lower garment (pheijom), a vertically draped upper cloth (enaphi), rattan rings (yairi) worn around the calves, a scabbard crafted from the Kurao tree slung across the back, a bamboo culm in the earlobe & a bone pin paired with a bamboo strip hair clip to secure the hair. ■The Keiroi: Conversely, the Keiroi documents that many Tangkhuls transitioned back into Meitei society. Examples include the Mangsataba &Leitanthem families of Thoubal, the Soibam Cheithaba Funga lineage & the Sanasam family of Sabal Tongba, all of whom trace their ancestry back to the Medu Tangkhul Hao. @ukhrultimes @LIANGMAIPOST @Nagaland_India @Nagaland_Post @CmoNagaland @MyGovNagaland @SpeakNaga_X @SpeakNaga_II @khanuithotkhon

NorthEast regional leaders, especially @Lal_Duhoma & @Neiphiu_Rio can help initiate a dialogue for trust building. Zeliangs of Nagaland can help pacify the Liangmais because they're second to Tangkhuls in vilifying the Kukis as "non indigenous illegal immigrants" @CmoNagaland

#Kanggui 📍 Thousands rallied today urging authorities to secure release of 14 Kuki civilians reportedly held captive by different #Manipur Naga militants. The crowd also denounced the slaying of 3 Kuki-Zo pastors & demanded justice without delay. @ANI @thewire_in #DCVSRR

Killing pastors cannot be called a Christian!! We strongly condemn ZUF-Kamson, an NSCN-IM proxy, for the brutal killing of Kuki church leaders on 13 May 2026. Targeting unarmed ministers of peace is an act of terror, not faith, and stands against every teaching of Christ. Such violence against those who preach reconciliation has no place in any civilized society. We demand justice for the slain pastors and immediate action against the perpetrators. #𝐂𝐇𝐈𝐊𝐈𝐌_𝐓𝐄_𝐀𝐖𝐆𝐈𝐍 @chinkukimizogin #JusticeForPastors #StopTheViolence #ZUF #NSCNIM #Manipur #PrayForManipur #PeaceInManipur

The only way to contain the current Kuki vs Tangkhul led Manipuri Nagas violence is to provide assurance to these smaller Naga subtribes that their rights won't be affected by KPI district administration. @vijaita @jeegujja @Kezo_IPS @rlungleng @shimray2011 @HRHlenn @KSO_tlm

ZKPO Calls for Immediate Hostage Release, Condemns Violence in Manipur Ahthibung, Nagaland | 16 May 2026: The Zeliang Kuki Public Organisation (ZKPO) condemned the killings, kidnappings, arson, and hostage-taking involving Kuki and Naga communities in Manipur, calling the use of civilians as “bargaining chips” unacceptable and “against Christian values.” In a joint statement, the Zeliang and Kuki communities of Ahthibung Sub-Division also denounced the brutal killing of pastors and church leaders, saying attacks on religious figures are “deeply inhuman.” ZKPO said violence and hatred go against the “long-standing harmony and brotherhood” shared by both communities in Ahthibung, and urged all sides to exercise restraint and reject misinformation. The organisation appealed for the urgent, safe release of hostages and called on authorities to stop the violence, ensure civilian safety, and bring perpetrators to justice. #𝐂𝐇𝐈𝐊𝐈𝐌_𝐓𝐄_𝐀𝐖𝐆𝐈𝐍 @chinkukimizogin #ZKPO #ZeliangKuki #Ahthibung #PerenDistrict #Nagaland #ManipurViolence #ReleaseHostages #CommunalHarmony #PeaceInNortheast #StopViolence #16May2026 #UnityPeaceBrotherhood

Here's another incident today itself Tangkhul Terrorist NSCN-IM Kamson Group killing their own pastor again #TangkhulWarCrimes #Tangkhul_Anti_Christian #TangkhulFakeChristiain #Beware_Of_Tangkhul @ukhrultimes

Shocking video shows a woman openly brandishing an AK-series rifle and issuing threats. This is a grave threat to public safety & law and order. Immediate identification and arrest are needed under the Arms Act & BNS for illegal weapon possession. @NIA_India
