On May 15, 2024, then-Sacramento County Board of Supervisor Sue Frost and I met over breakfast at the Black Bear Diner in Citrus Heights, California.  Supervisor Frost and I discussed our mutual concerns about the dangers of the COVID-19 vaccines—her as a county elected official and me as a former California Department of Public Health (CDPH) Information Officer 2, who repeatedly informed CDPH management between 2022-23 that the COVID-19 vaccines are killing people at an alarming rate. I believe Frost was the first U.S. politician who had to courage to publicly oppose the COVID-19 vaccines from the get-go. She took a lot of heat, but she did the right thing. After walking to the rostrum I nervously fidgeted my fingers when I opened my iPad to arrange papers, which documented my public comment. The people who stood behind me did so to support me, thanks to the lady who organized them. She is pictured behind my left shoulder, which you can see above my profile photo on X. As a matter of fact she prayed for me before the BOS’ Clerk of the Board called my name and invited me to approach the rostrum.  Unbeknownst to me at the time there's a lady who I knew from a previous life. You can see her craning her neck to see who was talking when I stated that I retired on December 31, 2023. She was a FEMA/Governor’s Office of Emergency Services Public Information Officer who I worked with at Mather’s Joint Information Center during a federally declared disaster nearly three decades earlier. I didn't know she was there to receive a group award until after I addressed the Board.  Also note the great questions which Supervisor Frost, who retired (note pictures) and relocated from California, asked Sacramento County officials that day. "If we know vaccines are disproportionately killing blacks and Latinos, as stated by Secretary Becerra, why are we not stopping the shots,” you’ll hear her question. Minutes after I made my public comment I learned that a scammer stole all the funds from my credit union checking account. That incident illustrates and accentuates that this is a spiritual war. The spiritual blowback of me taking a stand against the spirit of pharmakeia (Greek word for witchcraft) was immediate. It took several stressful weeks but all my funds were eventually re-deposited. The three other times I returned to Sacramento County BOS—on June 4, July 9 and August 6—I shared with them, in the prescribed two-minute public comment time limit, differents aspect of my COVID-19 “vaccines are killing people...”  message. Little did I know that that breakfast meeting two years ago today with Supervisor Frost in Citrus Heights—where she had served as mayor nine years earlier—birthed me riding on a Can-Am Spyder motorcycle throughout California to warn California’s 57 other county BOS members about the COVID-19 shots. Little did I know that that meeting with Supervisor Frost would connect me with Julie Threet (@julie4butte5) on October 8, 2024, when I first appeared before Butte County BOS. She and I are pictured with retiring Supervisor Frost more than seven months later. This is Little Miss Ruth (2009-2026), and she provided me much needed emotional support throughout my life. Note the first picture. On Friday, June 11, 2021, I awoke from a nap. Two days before my Mother (Dora L. Owens) went to Heaven this affectionate cat placed her left paw on my chest. Fortunately my comb and iPhone were nearby. So after I carefully combed my hair—didn’t want to scare anybody—l took this selfie without disturbing Little Miss Ruth. Here’s the backstory. My Mother had a painful and difficult Thursday night/early Friday morning. My Mother fell asleep at daybreak. As the morning waned she slept more soundly. When she slept my Dad and I slept. So I went to sleep, and during my nap Ruth snuggled close to me. When I awoke Ruth was lying on me —as if to comfort me. During the incidents which occurred at the California Department of Public Health (CDPH) that I chronicled in this book, Ruth was very sensitive to me. During virtual meetings when I worked at home Ruth jumped in my lap and purred. She sensed the increase in my stress level and her purring calmed me. During podcast interviews or listening to and participating in X spaces, Ruth climbed in my lap, laid down and purred. Ruthie, a nickname I affectionately called her, was my friend for almost 17 years. Even though she was a feline she followed me all over the house—just like a canine. I was her human heater, as she laid on my stomach or folded her front legs and positioned herself on my chest. She’d place her paw in my hand while she slept. She perched herself on my right shoulder while I slept. Ruth had end-stage renal (kidney) disease. The vet said “the kindest thing for me to do is to let her go.” Ruth was euthanized on Monday, January 26, 2026 about 4:30 am. I thank the LORD for blessing me with Little Miss Ruth.
