@simon_ekpa @AloyEjimakor Playing a script from the criminal DSS playbook on dealing with IPOB is what I see here. @AloyEjimakor is the new victim in this plot. The Sit-at-Home shall continue & we take no such orders from the SSS purported to be #MNK's. @simon_ekpa is staying the course via this struggle

Disarm the civilians today, terrorists attack tomorrow. This cycle is becoming too familiar. Each time civilians are disarmed by the military, terrorists suddenly appear hours later. Are you thinking what I'm thinking? 🤔

Not Today! - When the wild refuses to give up. 🦓 This is the African savannah in its rawest form, fast, tense, and completely unpredictable. A zebra fights hard to escape as a hyena tries its luck, reminding us that every moment in the wild carries power, survival, and drama.

An old photo of Nigeria's former president, Goodluck Ebele Jonathan. This throwback picture shows him as a National Youth Service Corps (NYSC) member in 1983 at Ebekun Secondary Commercial Grammar School, Iresi, Osun State. Only one person in this world has no throw back pictures. Guess who

Seeing @puredentng on the shelves in Jendol today made me very happy. Zero Fluoride! Fluoride was replaced with Hydroxyapatite, a natural mineral that's technically about 80% the same with your teeth. Last year when I started researching on options to Fluoride, I stumbled on Hydroxyapatite, and to see a HAP based toothpaste in Nigeria is a big boost to public health.

@arojinle1 That's Ugba fruit! The yellow fluffy covering of the seed tastes so good. We used to go look for this fruit as primary school pupils in Nsukka. Such nostalgic moments!! The seed is also used to make "ogiri ugba" used to sweeten soups!

🇹🇷🇬🇭 A single Turkish ship anchored off Ghana's coast generates over a quarter of the country's electricity. The MV Karadeniz Powership Osman Khan is 299 meters long and pumps out up to 480 MW of power. It has been doing this since 2017. No power plant to build. No years of construction delays. Karpowership, the Turkish private company behind it, has quietly turned this model into a global business, deploying floating plants to countries with chronic energy deficits across Africa and beyond. Africa has an infrastructure gap that traditional investment has failed to close for decades. Turkey found a way to monetize that gap with engineering.

This youngster Kosisochukwu Nnamani drowned while trying to fetch water at College of Immaculate Conception Enugu (CIC) school reservoir. This happened on May 4th. This is pure negligence and lack of safeguarding from the school. Why should students fetch water in reservoirs?

One is therefore compelled to ask: What exactly was the objective of Mr. Onyia’s actions? Was it to genuinely seek improvement within the university, or was it to incite students against the administration and drag the institution into public opprobrium? Was the goal reform, or simply media attention at the expense of the university that gave him his educational foundation and headstart in life? Constructive criticism is necessary in any society. Universities must continually improve infrastructure, welfare and learning conditions. But there is a clear difference between constructive engagement and public humiliation. Alumni who truly love their institutions seek solutions, partnerships and support mechanisms rather than media-driven attacks intended to generate controversy and personal visibility. Alex Onyia’s conduct becomes even more disappointing when contrasted with the exemplary behaviour of another distinguished alumnus of the University, Governor Chukwuma Soludo, a serving governor of Anambra State, who visited the University, the same period as Alex Onyia, to deliver a public lecture. Like Onyia, the governor travelled through the university environment. He saw the same campus roads and observed the same infrastructure. Yet, unlike Onyia, the Governor acknowledged the visible improvements undertaken by the current university management, including rehabilitated roads across the campus. At the very podium where Onyia chose confrontation and threats, the governor chose encouragement, dignity and responsible engagement. He commended the leadership of the university and recognized the efforts being made despite enormous challenges confronting tertiary institutions nationwide. That is the mark of a statesman and a worthy alumnus, one who balances honesty with loyalty, criticism with support, and concern with responsibility. No university grows through condemnation alone. Institutions advance when alumni invest their time, resources, expertise and influence toward collective progress. If Alex Onyia was genuinely concerned about hostel conditions, he could have mobilized fellow alumni, initiated intervention projects, established support partnerships or quietly engaged management in meaningful dialogue. Public ridicule should never be the first instinct of someone who claims to care about his alma mater. The University of Nigeria is one of Nigeria’s most prestigious universities, producing leaders, scholars, professionals and innovators who continue to contribute to national and global development. Like many public institutions, it faces infrastructural and financial challenges, but those challenges should inspire collaboration rather than destructive publicity stunts. Ultimately, alumni must decide what legacy they wish to leave behind. Will they be remembered as builders or destroyers? Encouragers or opportunists? Patriots of their institutions or merchants of public ridicule? Alex Onyia’s recent actions unfortunately present a troubling example of how not to engage one’s alma mater. Alumni criticism should uplift, not undermine; it should heal, not humiliate. The true spirit of university loyalty demands nothing less.

UNN Liason officer wrote this about me. Kindly read and share your thoughts… *Alex Onyia's Condemnation vs Soludo's Example of True Alumni Spirit in UNN* An alumnus is more than a former student. He is a lifelong ambassador of the institution that helped shape his intellect, character and future. True alumni spirit is measured not merely by criticism, but by commitment, constructive contribution and a sincere desire to see one’s alma mater progress. It is against this backdrop that it becomes necessary to examine the recent conduct of Mr. Alex Onyia and the Governor of Anambra State, Prof. Chukwuma Soludo, both of whom visited the University of Nigeria the same week. For many years after graduating from the University of Nigeria, Alex Onyia appeared disconnected from the affairs and development of his alma mater. Yet, when invited by his faculty to deliver the Herbert Macaulay Memorial Lecture, an honour reserved for distinguished alumni expected to inspire students and contribute positively to intellectual discourse, he chose instead to turn the occasion into a public spectacle aimed at embarrassing the University. Rather than focusing on mentorship and inspiring students, Alex Onyia mounted the podium threatening legal action against the university over the condition of some aging hostels. More troubling was the calculated manner in which he arrived with Afia Television crew, not primarily to document the academic event, but to showcase decaying infrastructure in a manner designed to ridicule the university before the public. What makes this behaviour particularly unfair is that he was most likely aware that the university management, under Prof. Simon Uchenna Ortuanya had already awarded contracts for the renovation of some of the hostels, including Eni-Njoku, the hostel in question. Responsible stakeholders who genuinely care about the University's progress acknowledge ongoing efforts even while advocating for improvement. Instead, Alex Onyia ignored these realities and proceeded with a campaign of sensationalism. His subsequent appearance on live television, where he reportedly declared that the entire University of Nigeria was “stinking,” crossed the line from criticism into outright disparagement. No institution is perfect, especially public universities operating under severe funding constraints in Nigeria. However, reducing a historic institution such as the University of Nigeria to insulting soundbites before a national audience reflects poorly not only on the institution but also on the individual making such statements. Even more disturbing was what followed a day after his televised outburst. Alex Onyia allegedly made claims that the university management had evicted a visually impaired student whom he had interviewed during his tour of the hostel facilities. The allegation quickly generated public sympathy and outrage. However, the claims were subsequently debunked by the university authorities as well as independent individuals and groups who investigated the matter. Among those who reportedly interacted directly with the visually impaired student was the National Association of Nigerian Students, which also contradicted the allegation that the student had been victimized or unjustly removed by the university management. The contradiction of Mr. Onyia’s claims by multiple independent voices inevitably raises serious questions about his intentions and credibility.

These are killer Fulani terrorists on an uninterrupted video call with a Nigerian influencer. As always, they looked very happy, comfortable and confident. They're known to own Tik Tok accounts where they sometimes livestream their atrocities and flaunt their ill-gotten ransom money in different currencies. I need someone to explain to me how this can be happening and we are not able to track and pick these guys up, but the moment a Nigerian citizen criticises the authorities, the tracking is so swift they can get picked up in just a few hours, if not minutes. This is Nigeria in 2026. @POTUS @JDVance @SecRubio @RepRileyMoore @TomColeOK04 @RepFranklin @HouseAppropsGOP @WhiteHouse @Sean_ADFIntl @StateDept @DeptofWar @FoxNews
