One of the problems we have in public policy is that wonks don’t give any consideration to how their ideas will collide with actual human behavior. Take our Trump Accounts. There are millions of parents who will in theory benefit enormously from this investment in their kids’ future, but the policy does no good if parents never find out how to sign up for it. From day one of our administration we’ve tried to think outside the box on problems like this. That’s why Elon recruited the best and brightest engineers and designers to help us make government more efficient. Some of those same exceptional design and software talents, under @jgebbia’s leadership, have been working for months at National Design Studio on a different problem: making government programs like the Trump Accounts more user friendly. With the Trump Accounts we’ve met people where they are. Instead of expecting them to navigate a ton of complicated forms on Treasury.gov, we’ve built out a simple, easy-to-use app to sign parents up. The app helps us market the program and sign up users, and deploying it this early does something else: it gives our engineers a pilot program to test out Treasury’s digital back-end systems and iron out kinks in advance of the delivery of the funds later this summer. So, parents, sign up now, and help us invest in your kids for tomorrow. Because great policy only works when people can actually use it. That is the power of design. @Sassafrass_84 Oh, fuck off! We were all winging it during the COVID pandemic. Maybe Fauci and the CDC might have gotten us out of the dilemma sooner but Trump's lack of leadership, contradictory messages and inability to coordinate with the states made a bad situation worse.

Let me say it loud for the retards in the back who keep rewriting history: President Trump was advised to lock the country down for two weeks to slow the curve. He listened. Republican-led states reopened and got back to work. Democrat-led states stayed shut down for over a year. Trump repeatedly pleaded with those blue-state governors to reopen their economies. They refused. Their goal was clear: tank the Trump economy so they could blame him for the damage. Millions lost jobs and livelihoods because of it. Democrat governors chose to send sick COVID patients into nursing homes — a decision that killed thousands of our elderly. That was their choice, not Trump’s. They lectured him: “Don’t tell me how to run my state, Trump! Don’t overstep your authority!” While encouraging people to snitch on their neighbors for not following the rules. Operation Warp Speed happened under President Trump. The vaccines were developed a few years prior. Democrats originally scoffed: “I’m not taking a Trump vaccine.” Then Biden and Democrats stole the election, forced vaccine mandates, and suddenly, it was “safe and effective” — take it or lose your job. Blue states cheered and reopened. Don’t twist the history. Those of us who lived through 2020-2024 remember exactly what happened.

@megbasham @DrPatrick I’m almost done with my 13 month immunotherapy treatment schedule for the stage 2 lung cancer I had. Immunotherapy is supposed to work miracles, so I’ll keep you in my prayers!

Just received my first treatment at @DrPatrick’s Bioshield clinic. What we did today is designed to strengthen my immune system and teach it to target cancer cells. It’s a developing technology that has been drawing a LOT of attention and Dr. Soon-Shiong has given a number of viral interviews discussing his research. so I figured y’all might be interested in taking the journey along with me. I am currently still no evidence of disease, but as a stage four patient, I chose this treatment to be proactive and to hopefully prevent a recurrence. What we did today was my first round of a CEA vaccine. CEA is a protein that some colorectal cancer tumors produce. My tumor was one of them. So this vaccine is designed to teach my immune system to identify any cell that has CEA on its surface and attack it. The second injection I got is an immunotherapy known as Anktiva. It’s increases natural killer and memory T cells to attack abnormal cells. Like cancer cells. I will keep you all updated on how I progress and will hopefully do some formal coverage as well. So far feeling fine!
