@AviationAll_ Passengers loved the concept for the convenience it brought, but the BCAS frowned upon it, because it allowed for 'mixing' of international and domestic pax on the same aircraft. The privilege (only Air India was allowed to do this) was withdrawn when the airline was privatised.

People flying into or departing from IXE might have noticed that some flights, despite being parked at a stand with an aerobridge, still board/deboard using stairs from both doors. This typically happens when an international flight is boarding or deboarding at the same time. To keep international and domestic passengers separated, this procedure is followed. The terminal at IXE does not have sterile boarding or deboarding facilities for international arrivals/departures due to its inherent design, so such measures are necessary.

@Adityab_77 For arrival it makes sense But for boarding, if there are separate paths for intl and domestic and after immigration and security, if these passengers mix, then why do airports not allow mixing?
