@Aber402 @mayukh_panja There are very few industries where it's better to be an employee in Europe. If you have any ambition/value as an employee (you earn like a 60th percentile plus income in either place, the salaries in America are so much higher pre-tax and even higher post-tax it can't compare

@mayukh_panja It's better to be an employee in Europe, but better to be a business owner in america. Pros and cons to each I feel like people just refuse to listen to.

to be fair the european way of life makes sense: either go hard, start your own company, build your product, create your art or play it casual, work for 4 days per week, take 30 days off for holidays, and generally be very chill but it only works cause europe is already developed and they didn’t get here by being like this the post war years were absolutely brutal and people worked extremely hard to rebuild their countries from scratch, plus billions of dollars of capital poured in through the Marshall plan

@robwilliams4 @WhatTheForkAVFC No, he isn't, and he never will be, the same way you will never be a cat or dog or unicorn. Things are what they are not what you desire them to be, the sooner you learn that lesson in life the less of an abject failure you will continue to be.

@Ydahellnah @WhatTheForkAVFC Wrong again. Saka is English, as is Harry Kane, as is Hargreaves. I’ve got no doubt you’ve googled these people as I don’t think you give a shit about football or the England team, it’s just a vehicle for your ethno-nationalism. I’m done with you, enjoy your day

Harry Kane, Declan Rice, and shockingly, Tino Livramento, aren’t ‘fully’ English by this logic. And Oliver George Arthur Watkins (born in Devon) is probably the most quintessentially English name in the England squad. Ffs. 😂 Sick of these racists encouraging each other on this platform, man.

@robwilliams4 @WhatTheForkAVFC You clearly can't read. Bukayo Saka is no more English than Harry Kane is Chinese. Words have meaning, despite your desire to the contrary. Jude Bellingham is infinitely more English than Erling Haaland. Owen Hargreaves is infinitely more English than Bukayo Saka.

@Ydahellnah @WhatTheForkAVFC That’s not a straw man; I’ve described Bukayo Saka, who meets every criteria I’ve described and yet isn’t English enough for you. The England national team is made up of English nationals, and nationality is a complex mix of birthplace, upbringing and parenthood.

@Ydahellnah @WhatTheForkAVFC So a lad born in England, who spends their whole life here, speaks English, is raised in the English education system and considers himself English…is less English than a white lad?? We know what you are.

@robwilliams4 @WhatTheForkAVFC "English" actually has a distinct meaning as an ethnic group, the same as Chinese or Turk. England like almost all nation states (the main exceptions are settler colonial modern creations like America, Australia, etc) is first and foremost a nation for ethnically English people.

@robwilliams4 @WhatTheForkAVFC No, the justification is ethnicity. A half English half black footballer (like Bellingham) is infinitely more English than a 100% German white one. Just as a partially English partially Irish one like Rice is infinitely more English than a 100% Nigerian one like Saka.

Everyone is always rooting for you. Your parents want you to be a great son. Wife wants you to be a great husband. Your boss wants you to be a slam dunk hire. Every first date you’ve ever been on they’ve been rooting for you to get laid. Every time you started to tell a joke people hoped it would have a hilarious punch line. Your proximity to anyone is a reflection of themself, meaning the deck is never stacked against you, and your failures are completely your own

@targeted_user @DuaneMilton1109 @AdemLuz @MetamateDaz @600in20 But we only have a shared interest if the outcome is beneficial for me, isn’t that selfish? That’s why the first sentence “everyone is rooting for you” fails, the girl might be rooting for me because she can get something out of me but is the guy sitting behind us rooting for me?

@TzolakiSZN You're the only one bringing up "pure" you retard. Nobody is pure anything. The point is that they are at least partially English, which is far more than can be said for most of the Nigerians playing for England today.

@andyblarsen @slowisquicker Such a childish reaction. The same way your employer has no right to force you to keep working for them if you want to leave, they have a right to stop employing you. Nobody has the divine right to work for the Trailblazers.

@slowisquicker And look admittedly you're right that this is an emotional reaction from me. But also: when a guy consistently does actions that hurt people over and over and over again at what point does it become acceptable to call him a terrible human being?

@Euphoric696 @SamQuinnCBS It's a combination of both obviously. Brooklyn and Utah don't have the same percentage because black NBA players are equally willing to play/live in either area, they do because one has much more competent management.

The Grizzlies actually know what they're doing. Like you'll go there and you may not love the city you're in but you'll set yourself up to make more money and be on a competitive team in a few years. Choosing them over Sacramento is wild to me.
Fullcourtpass@Fullcourtpass

NBA players voted on their number one team they do NOT want to get traded to • Memphis — 35.8% • Washington — 11.7% • Sacramento — 10.8% • New Orleans — 6.7% • Brooklyn — 5% • Utah — 5% • Charlotte — 4.2% • Portland — 4.2% • New York — 3.3% • Detroit — 2.5% • Indiana — 2.5% • Milwaukee — 1.7% • LA Lakers — 1.7% (Via @TheAthletic, h/t @TheNBABase)

@per_arneng @thomasunise @Polymarket That makes no sense. It's not "the current economic structure" that necessitates employment, but reality itself. If you do nothing food, shelter, etc don't magically appear. The better technology gets and the less effort those things require, the wealthier everyone is.

@MAGA_Broly @NostraPepe @ChristianHeiens Then you'd be retarded. Even if Iran was two weeks away from a nuke (which they have been for 20 years according to Israel), they don't have the capability to attack the US with it, nor do they have the motivation.

Texas Republicans can easily draw a 34-4 map that eliminates another 4 Dem seats from the state. Speaking of computers, if you try hard enough, you can probably make the necessary changes for this map to survive every statewide election from the last 10 years, including the 2018 Senate race.

It's probably time to fully computer chip Illinois. The Supreme Court and Republicans want *no* limits on gerrymandering? Alright. The worst district here was still Harris +9.7, it would reliably return 17D-0R.

@acher_2 @decunningham2 Why don't you see any inherent value in non jagged lines? The lines are just a reflection of geographical realities, I think there is inherent value in people across the street or 2 miles down the street in the same general area sharing districts over people 100s of miles away.

@decunningham2 And I get it’s gonna be impossible to just snap ur fingers and go to proportions representation, but seems like the only long term solution to me. Like I don’t see any inherent value in “non-jagged lines” and if it’s a proxy for fairness, just go to straight to fairness.

So to put a pin in the New England gerrymandering discussion - in a take that will likely please nobody: 1) New England is gerrymandered 2) The effect of this is pretty minimal If you redraw every state you can get 5 more competitive seats (2 in CT, 2 in MA, 1 in RI). BUT...

In the 2018/19 season, Jurgen Klopp almost ran mad. He got 97 points and he did not win the league. Pep still found a way to get 98 points to win the league by a point. Let me give a bit of context. Prior to Pep & Klopp’s rivalry, Jose Mourinho’s Chelsea held the record of 95 points. In fact, 97 points would have won the league every season before Pep. In the history of premier league, only 4 teams have gotten 97 points or more. Two for Pep, two for Klopp. Klopp only won one premier league title in 9 years. You can imagine how crazy that is, especially when you think of that Liverpool’s team. Bro had to retire before Pep kills him, he’s even looking older than 58, thanks to Pep😂
